FPS issues

I have:
GPU: ASUS TUF 3070ti
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
RAM: 16GB @ 3600mhz
Display: ASUS ROG 27” @ 170Hz

I turn all my settings up to ultra and my FPS drops to about 35-55 around the heavy populated areas. Also, if a lot of spell effects are going off, it kills my FPS.

Maybe I’m expecting too much from a 3070ti but I feel like my PC should be stomping WoW’s graphical requirements.

Any insight would be appreciated.

WoW is more CPU dependent than GPU dependent.

That’s the biggest issue with WoW and optimization.

switch to 5800x 3d, or wait for next gen and see what comes out.
