Used to get 144, now getting 60, vsync off and max fps set ofc. Anyone else seeing this?
Did you reset your max foreground and background fps. all of that got reset.
Edit:
Its under:
System
Advanced
Max Foreground FPS
Max Background FPS
Target FPS
Yep, first thing I did, can’t seem to get it to go above 60, gonna try restarting stuff.
They give you the option to choose an fps cap. I’ll find out once I can actually connect.
It works in the Beta, just logged in and I’m sitting at 140 there with my max set to 140, target of 60.
You can access the graphics settings from the System button on the login screen.
Turn off the ray traced shadows…
It’s not on, and to the above, I’ve done all that, still can’t get it over 60, unless it’s capped at 60 on the login screen. Everything looks good, even forced vsync off in the control panel.
Max background, foreground and target set to 144.
I wish they’d stop messing with stuff like this as patches/expansions drop, nothing worse than having everything set up perfectly to your tastes only to discover that all of your preferences have been adjusted randomly.
/console maxfps 100
Set 100 to whatever max you want.
Thanks, I’ll give this a shot when I get in-game.
check your actual graphic card settings, make sure vsync isnt enabled and set to 60 or some crap. the shadowlands update now supports alot more graphic settings, including ray tracing, so wouldn’t be surprised if it now talks to and includes settings for frame rate limiting, vsync or adaptive or g-sync
Make sure Vsync isn’t on?
Can your monitor even do above 120 fps?
Try going to the location of the launcher in your folders where the application is installed, right clicking the .exe for WoW, under compatibility turn on “Disable Full screen optimization.”
Lol, I like how half the comments never read my original post. It turns out login/character selection just caps me at 60, smooth sailing once in-game. Disregard this post.
I really need to update my video card and monitor…
I typically get 30 to 40 FPS and kind of blurry graphics.
I’m having the same issue, uncapped everything in settings and check my graphics card settings, still capped at 60 FPS everywhere.
I have this issue too, and have done the same things to try to resolve it. With the rig I have, it shouldn’t be an issue. I used to have 180-196 FPS prior to this.
General checklist:
- Update GPU drivers
- Ensure Raytracing is disabled to first test
- Vsync disabled in-game and in Nvidia Control Panel
- Max background, foreground and target fps caps set to desired fps
- If still nothing, drop everything to low to see if it goes higher
On the login screen it appears capped at 60 but not the case in-game.
