Problem with this quest after 11.0 update. I am unable to place the spear in the tomb after I placed the bow. The spear is already in the tomb. Unable to click it to place it.

same for me after placing the bow the spear wasnt even in my bag anymore
Confirmed. It’s supposed to be:
- Go into the graves in the hillside
- Place the bow in one grave by clicking the yellow ghostly outline
- Go across the tunnel to the opposite grave
- Place the spear in that grave by clicking the yellow ghostly outline
as it worked on previous characters.
As of the 11.0.0 prepatch, and confirmed on a character a few moments ago, now we can only do the first three. When entering the last grave, the spear has already been “placed” and there’s no outline, thus nothing to click, and no way to complete the quest.
Some folks in this comment:
have reported that waiting a day lets the spear “disappear” and allows the player to place it properly. I’ll try that tomorrow.
So I logged in today and the spear had vanished, with the ghostly “it goes here” outline in its place, allowing me to place the object and complete the quest.
I don’t know whether the workaround is “wait overnight” or “wait for quest dailies and similar timers to reset even though the quest is not a daily” or “wait for the weekly server reboot” because today happened to be the last one in that list of possibilities.
UPDATE: after waiting a few days, I was able to complete this quest. Don’t know if its actually fixed or not. If your having trouble, be patience and keep checking.
