I found my future wife on a dating site I looked at during wow downtime. So I didn’t find her in wow, but I did find her while playing it and that’s its own kind of special.

I’ve made a couple of good and long lasting friendships in WoW but was married more than 25 years before WoW existed. For the record, we’re still happily married.

I met my (deceased) bf playing WoW. He was the tank and I was dps. I thanked him at the end of the dungeon and told him he was a good tank. I exited the dungeon and next thing I know someone was whispering to me and it was him. He had followed me to my realm. We talked in game for 2 hours, then met each day after work and played for hours. He finally convinced me to move my toons to Thrall (his realm). We played everyday for about a year. Finally he drove out to spend the summer with me (So. CAL) and never left. We were together for 2 years until he died unexpectedly. It was a dream relationship for 2 gamers.

When you press O in-game it should appear at the top of that window. From there you can add people’s battletag(s).
Alternatively, when you open the battle.net application there is a tab “social” that lets you see all your conversations. At the top right there’s an icon that brings up your battletag friend’s list.
