Which is why I provided the source, for context. And players who have been in the game for the 5 years since that stream can very well make an informed opinion on how the game has progressed based on that vision laid out 5 years ago.

I think he may be putting that “new systems” requirement on himself. I never asked for more than new gear and new enchants and I still think that would be sufficient.

For example, if SL came out without soulbinds or conduits, that would have been fine by me! I think the game would have been just as good or possibly even better without them.

short term systems over evergreen content its their modus operandi

I, and a large number of players have stated this opinion multiple times. Cannot agree more. The tail is wagging the dog.

I think it’s a tiny cop out.
Recently the torghast no feed back in beta quote went out and made me realize that this teams got some weird ways of clearly saying ‘‘numbers dont lie, and we don’t want to make new content in that form constantly’’.

Well of course numbers don’t lie. Because when you don’t look at the number to begin with how can the lie be discovered?

Tier sets are coming back in the next patch…

Uhh Demon Hunter called? Sure, we didn’t get a new class in either BFA or Shadowlands but we didn’t need one…

And Allied Races were what exactly? Okay, sure you could argue that some of them are reskins of existing races, Mag’har Orcs, Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Dark Iron Dwarves etc. But when you get to the Vulpera, Zandalari Trolls, Nightborne and Kul Tirans though…

Blizzard added 4 unique races to the game in one expansion. The last expansion where they added playable races was Mists of Pandaria and the only added 1, and Cataclysm before that when they added 2.

It’s how they operate… look at torghast, visions, islands, etc… the incentive is made great enough for most players, they’ll go play it, thus increasing numbers on statistics to show you are engaging in said content.

Big number means lots are having fun because they seem to equate big % of engagement = fun.

Oh I was just trying to be silly.

You’re right though.

have you seen these tier sets that are coming back ?

no, and they said tier sets were expected in 9.1 back when shadowlands launched

they also spoke of heritage armors coming in the .5 patches and a focus on customization… how things change :stuck_out_tongue:

We were supposed to get flying too, and we didn’t. Oh wait yes we did (no, we didn’t really).

When Shadowlands was being discussed in post-Blizzcon interviews they didn’t say an exact time when Tier Sets would be returning in Shadowlands, only that they would be, but not at launch.

When 9.1 was being talked about questions about Tier sets were asked and Ion specifically said that they’d be returning in 9.2

and then they will say 9.3. and then next expansion. and then expansion after that.

Right… because of things…

Okay, but now you’re projecting.

If that actually happens, I’ll be one of the first to call them out on it (just like I called them out for their customization backpedal), but it’s a bit early to be doing it now.

Funny that they said no part 2 yet fail to understand that it was also that we didn’t want to wait just as long… essentially not improving the feeling of flying.

they literally just relabeled the LEGENDARIES that were made during shadowlands development, and made them sanctum sets. thats a lazy
