Im sure I’m very late to the party with this news but found it and thought it would be fun to share.
There was a piece of treasure I could only see at a distance but when I got near the area it would disappear.
I found if a DH uses spectral site that treasure didn’t actually disappear but instead went stealth mode…for whatever reason.
Blizzard please fix this!
Yeah I’m not sure if its a mechanic specifically if a DH is in a party or if there’s
just extra treasure for DH that people don’t know about, I found it super odd.
Either it’s a cool mechanic they decided to add…or it’s a bug.

It’s intended to reveal hidden treasures, which is probably what you found.
Then why did I need spectral site to see it?
I expect that the treasure is always hidden without some sort of spell to reveal it. Presumably the Glowglow Cap and Spectral Sight achieve the same effect of making the treasure visible.
The fact that you could see it from far away but not up close is probably just a “bug” in the way it’s designed.
I’m guessing about all of this, so it might be something else altogether.
there should be an achievement tracking the main treasures and the rest is just bonus.
