I go in with friends who know and are aware of what I am doing and have consented.
so you dont do random. Great.
Many of us do and we dont expect perfection out of other random players and dont spew hate on them for messing up here and there.
I donât even know if you actually play this game. Your profile is hidden and when I looked you up in the armory you didnât come up. The was one human female dk, but she was level 100 and had about 150 times the achievement points you do.
It does and I blame the interwebs and the way people interact much less w/ one another in a face to face situation.
The best example of this was when I was working around the UN a few years back and went into one of the hotels to get something to eat. I walked into the bar, which was packed to the gills but you could hear a pin drop because everyone was glued to their phones.
I notice this so much. When I go out to eat Iâll look around the restaurant to see how many people are there with other people but are looking at their phones.
third account but nice try
Look, people shouldnât be muppets in normals because literally who cares, BUT. And itâs a big but. If you donât feel confident in performing a role, go in as DPS until you get a feel for the content before adding the extra pressure of learning to tank or heal. People cannot stand being wiped by incompetence, this is not a new concept.
Why arenât you showing up in the armory?
It is rather depressing. I try to make a point to leave my phone in the car on the rare occasion that I have time to go out.
its randoms.
Those who have to have perfection should run with a guild
Youâre a good man. Iâve become way too tied to my phone. Iâm working on it though.
Big statement on a start-zone DK eh?
Going in as a dps is a different feel than as tank or heals. Again I ask how do you learn with out doing it?
probably because i donât play this account
Of course. Sheâs such a poor citizen of the game she doesnât dare post on her main, or one of the toons she plays with any regularity.
But you choose to post on it.
I went out for some drinks with coworkers last week and left my phone in my jacket for most of the night.
It was somewhat liberating. Almost felt like the old days, before everyone had cell phones. But even in 2001 when I was 19 there was always one guy who brought his old Nokia or flip phone and would painfully spend 10 minutes writing texts with T9 while the rest of us were socializing.
Back then I had this idea of a bar that was entirely phone booth sized single person tables so people could go out and still spend their whole time glued to their devices.
If I only knew what was comingâŚ
So in the long run people are being trained by the web to be antisocial.
Read the second half of the sentence. If youâre trying to learn the game, a spec and a dungeon at the same time youâre asking for trouble.
Thatâs just the way it is. People arenât forgiving in randoms because the content in them extremely easy so to fail in a big way is quite difficult and quite frustrating.
Itâd be nice if everyone was nice to each other but thatâs just not how it is. Donât do group content unless youâre confident.
