Foul players and Mogushan Vaults

nonsense.
Dont do randoms if you require perfection. THAT is what guilds are for.
If you run randoms EXPECT there to be newbies learning their class and the dungeons.

edit.
Id never go into randoms expecting perfection.
If i wanted that Id join an established guild and run with them.

People have done it through the history of the game. We all started at some point.

It’s not worth reading their negativity, just blow kiss and hug at them, spam ability to help your group while listening to songs. Worked for me.

Pretty much. As much as I love the advances in technology and how it made things like research and shopping relatively painless, it does have its negative aspects as well.

Chief among them greasy finger prints on my monitor because my kids keep insisting it is a giant ipad.

We can do a song or dance for them but if they act like… they’ll act fully to you and kick you.

I would think people now have lost the meaning of being called human. And isolation becomes the normal is a bad thing to all.

Have to wonder what is going to happen in classic - are groups going to be more tolerant of people learning or just not invite them

There shouldn’t be compulsion in “community.” But I respect what you said.

/hug

The way it’s going it may be even worse, this is a different generation than it was back then as we just now pointed out.The impatience of youth.

It is unfortunate how toxic the community can be, but I think it will end up being good for him in the long run. You need to develop a thick skin as a tank or healer because you will be blamed for most wipes (and honestly most wipes will probably be your fault just because healing and tanking are harder roles to play well). Healing is pretty thankless, there’s very few times people will go “nice heals” or something after a dungeon run, it’s better to get used to it leveling up than at max level.

Although ya, people need to chill out a bit. A wipe in a dungeon while leveling literally makes no difference at all in the grand scheme of things. It’s not like anyone is racing for world firsts now and no one cares if you’re able to clear a mop dungeon in record time

Edit: although I dont think this is a generational thing, I remember getting absolutely dumped on a lot when I first started playing the game back in vanilla and was trying to tank dungeons on my warrior. At the end of the day though I think it made me a better player

It does in the long run because you are leveling ,yet when you reach a mark it no longer leveling it’s performance. This game as too many levels in it and difficulties after wards ,but people do forget they were once like that trying something completely new.

Sadly that doesn’t exist anymore, now it’s just learn through youtube before coming to the raid.

Pointing it out, because I thought it was common knowledge, but I had at least 2-3 tanks tank that boss differently during the last TW:

You kite the boss to the foyer at the opposite end of the room, and the tank makes him face one of the crevices, the rest of the party stands opposite. The boss does something that sends anyone in a front cone fly up, you can either side step it or just take it, it’s not going to kill a competent tank. Only risk is pulling the boss too far into the doorway and having him reset.

Easy peasy.

Doesn’t excuse the vitriol.

Did that.
The first run it was horrible. I think the tank wasnt even trying to keep aggro. Healer can only heal so much damage per second. Many tanks and especially DPS players seem to be oblivious to that fact…whether by ignorance or intentionally so, its hard to tell…but if they cant understand the concept of ‘healing per second’ and that healers have CD’s just like everyone else, then they should stop running group content till they take a few refresher courses.
Otherwise they do stupid crap and then blame the healer for not being able to exceed the game mechanics allowances on how much damage can be healed during any given second.

Its a pretty easy concept. Its amazing how often I hear comments both here and in game that prove that tank and DPS players have absolutely ZERO comprehension that the healer isnt god…nor is he there to save them. He’s there to try to keep them from dying, but if theyre going to do stupid crap, then they face the consequences and need to man up and take credit for their own poor game play.

Instead they often foam at the healer who had nothing to do with their incompetence that caused them to pull more incoming damage than a healer is ABLE to heal.

I am so glad you showed us what a tolerant attitude towards others looks like.

Im not the one excusing the screaming at other players.
If one isnt happy in a random the answer is easy…leave.
No one forced anyone to stay and cuss out other players for no good reason.

There is a report button for abuse. Learn to use it.

…and we need that ignore button in here as well.

Dude, it’s a lowbie normal. How is it possible for a tank to die lol?

lol…yeah…they figure it out, somehow.
I just started playing DK a freakin week ago. Seriously. first ones Ive played out of the starting zone.
Ive tanked and DPSed and done just fine.
Only thing I can figure is its new players to the game…OR…M+ players who are used to running that content thinking that old content dungeons are idiot proof.
Most of them kinda are…but a few of them are seriously screwed up on the math or something. One run will be seriously overly easy…the next run in that same dungeon will be murder. Mogushan is one of those that does that a lot, for some reason. Maybe a scaling issue, I dont know

But its easy NOT to die if one plays smart.
Too often they dont…which is fine. Im not looking for randoms to run like clockwork. Im there to have fun and level up.
I could do without all the hate being spewed on players for making mistakes, however.
It is just a game.

I mean really, was the healer half asleep? You can literally heal a tank through anything the dungeon throws at you short of pulling the entire dungeon by getting one of those drinking bird toys to tap your low cost hard cast heal every 5 seconds.
