Op,I would love to give ideas but from experience never give ideas to those that wouldn’t give you credit for it.It’s a hurting reality but it’s a business.
And when almost a 20% of their active playerbase got banned for using High Elf customization hacks for Void Elves. These players were unbanned the next day lol
I constantly give excellent ideas to improve the game.
I am bullied and harassed for doing this so that probably deters others from giving their ideas.
Pretty much this, anyone who had ideas gets shouted down as “Blizzard sheep” and “Looney fanboys”.
To be fair, a lot of people give a lot of bad ideas. Not players fault for calling them out for being bad.
That being said, the majority of my posts I try to criticize / make suggestions for improvements.
Forums has always been negative. Pretty much, you have the happy people in-game playing. The negative “wow is ending now” players here (which has happened since idk… wotk?) Then, the random posters who just like to post. Also I have noticed now a days, with the new forum set up, many people can hop on alts and make more and more whine threads to make it seem like “so many” more are unhappy.
When actual well-composed ideas go completely ignored for multiple entire phases of development, people stop bothering. Blame Blizzard for not actually giving a crap.
So, they’re a lot like Blizzard then.
I think a lot of players know what the problem is but perhaps they can’t find a solution so one isn’t offered.
I strongly disagree with OP’s premise. Whilst offering ideas might sound wholesome, it’s much more constructive to elaborate on why something is bad or doesn’t work. That doesn’t mean that no ideas could or should be offered, but being clear about why something is a problem in the first place is the most important thing to get out there.
Besides, Blizzard’s problem isn’t a lack of ideas. They have a bunch of people who are paid to come up with their own ideas. Ideas are the easiest part of the equation; analyzing the ideas that Blizzard has already put into practice, from the consumer’s perspective, is far more valuable.
I can guarantee that damn near every idea that ever crosses the forums is something they’ve already brought up internally.
Guardians and other specs lost all their artifact traits and abilities, including ones that used to be baseline but were removed to make artifacts more appealing.
Hati was a gimmick. Devs love gimmicks.
Yeah, most threads are complaints. But lots of them are full of ideas, good or otherwise.
Devs do things for their own reasons. They have a master plan they expect us to respect even though we have no idea what’s in store for us. And some of the stuff coming up is probably not going to be popular, or they’d be telling us about it.
Sometimes the complaining is a good thing. Usually the ideas are stupid ones that either wouldnt work, or would mess up the game.
I came into this topic expecting complaints but no ideas to fix things from the topic starter. I wasn’t disappointed.
what a lie…LIER !
just read this, read this enormous thread about IDEAS !
I do see the salt and toxic stuff, but there are TONS of idea threads out there not toxic…
True, but then the toxic people come along and infect it with their toxicity.
Either with -
Good thing we have you here to complain about complaints.
I actually see quite a few ideas. Maybe you’re just not reading all the threads.
(I’m not saying they’re all good ideas, but there is no shortage of ideas on here. )
Many players of previous expansions want justice/valor vendors back but since they introduced EnDlEsS ScAlInG DuNgEoNs(M+) there’s a fat chance at that happening. If they don’t happen, I won’t even bother buying the next xpack since I don’t play M+, and there’s pretty much no other endgame content besides raids.
The portal to the caverns of time is another example.
The CRZ and Sharding, players hate it and it’s never going to change apparently. How about we get a reason why from Blizzard. I really miss being on my server only, seeing the same folks out there, on both factions. So if your getting camped on a low level alt, you could switch to a main and actually find the camper.
Hone the system so we go to the same shard every time. At least it would bring back that single server feeling.
