Pretty much just posting this as a “good ol days” post because I found an archived forum post of all the big names on the server from MoP and their Twitter handles, and sadly most of them haven’t been touched in years. I just figured I’d pour one out for all the forum wars and WPvP that happened in MoP.
Bring back WPvP and the crazy ED antics.
… but let’s keep the Zerg in MoP where it belongs.
I think most of it have moved to twitter or people have just left. ED forums have definitely had different phases over the years, and this is definitely the slowest.
I agree, but that is mainly due to certain people making it unable to be used by so many via forum mechanics (ban)
Most of the toxicity is kept on Twitter.
There’s less policing on Twitter, which can be both a good and bad thing, I suppose. I do notice, as others mentioned, the slowing of this forum particularly, though.

Yeah, we had some good times on the forums back in MoP. QotDs, drama, personalities and intrigue…
I am not surprised many fled to Twitter. Shorter message caps and meme posting are more their speed as opposed to the elaborate and clever interplay some of us enjoyed here.
Well yeah it only takes about 3-5 reports and boom, banned.

For those that you determine are part of your “in club”.
How so? The links were advertised in the stickies of old, in the community groups, via twitter, if someone did not join, that is on them.
Still we provide links to everyone that asks for one, everyone who shows up to server events…the only thing that gets you barred is deliberately going against the rules. And even then we have only banned 2 people in the past year edit - three people, checked the audit log.
You banned 3 people? This is literally A DICTATORSHIP.
Idling in the server for a few days obviously is going against the rules.

To my knowledge we have never BANNED anyone for idling. More info needed. (And i see no one with a peek or chet name on the ban list. )
Again-if it over 6 months ago- that is the past and there are new people in charge of it. No reason to live in the past
