Do you spend more time on these boards and not playing the actual game and if so… why?
Post your reasons here
Not so much. I usually post in between queues or when I’m moving from one spot to another. It’s fun to engage in conversation with other people though, even if some of the forum regulars can be a bit - you know - overly passionate, or unwilling to listen.
The benefit of being a programmer, working from home for the last 2 years and has a boss that doesn’t care what I do provided my assignments are in on time? I have a lot of free time to mess around online. I just keep myself from playing games, as that would be too distracting.
Unlike the game, lately the forums have been quite fun and entertaining lol
Well considering I have only been on these forums since I think 2019? And I have more /played than 2 years I’ll go with no
Yes, not much to do between arena logging and having to wait multiple weeks to get legion artefact recolours
Once upon a time random bgs were fun and i spent all my time there, but then the shadowlands attacked
Posting messages using my phone is more acceptable than pulling out a computer and playing a video game while I am at work…
And since I am awake at work longer than I am awake at home…yes, I end up playing the forums more than the game.
I can use the boards at work… cant play the game. I post 7am - 3pm EST and only Mon-Fri
Cause im watching cutscenes in final fantasy
I alt-tab over to the forums when I am in flight somewhere, or camping a rare or something.
Post at work
Been watching the drama from phone… past that if you post a ton you play less…
Sub is cancelled just burning the time I can not get refunded. Never doing a 6 month sub again.
Have no care to play.
For me the RPG of the game is just dead. I like to read others reasons on why they are leaving.
3 weeks left on my account, but I really quit over a week ago. Schadenfreude is one hell of a drug.
game bad
forum good
Mine runs out next month. The final straw was the reveal yesterday. I hadnt been playing at all either due heavy focus on high end content only. And Final Fantasy got me more time played in just a few weeks then WoW has in a year. Prob gonna use the extra cash to buy a cute outfit in that game.
I do spend more time here. I don’t dislike WoW, just don’t always feel like playing. But the forums I always keep on in the background when I’m online. This is one of the few places I socialize!
I think I have an M streak though because the forums have been getting more and more awful for months. It used to be like half fun and half salt, now it’s 98% salt. But I still come here for fun. Ah well!
Dissatisfaction with the game but a need to fill my addiction void, it’s not as fun but it beats doing drugs
I started playing ff14 and FF11… yes it looks like crap but yes it’s still live and playable… lol
Same. I’m a .NET developer. I work from home because of COVID. Though the office opened up yesterday for people to voluntarily go back. It’ll probably be mandatory in mid August or September.
Furthermore, my last project ended at the end of May, and I was in between projects, what my company called “on bench” until this Monday and still unable to do work while I waited for my virtual machine to be set up and then Visual Studio to be approved (the business version costs $2000 so it has to go through a few layers of approval) and installed before I can do anything.
So I’ve had a lot of free time. Even now with a project, taking a few minutes here and there (especially while the MVC application I’m assigned to is building) isn’t going to break any schedules.
I thought you quit? You said you quit anyways.
