Forum Trust Level 3

In the past I’ve usually been able to get back to TL 3 but recently in the last 3 months, it hasn’t come back :frowning:

Is there a way to check how one is to getting TL 3 back or if it is possible to get it back?

You can ask in the CS forum and a blue might be nice enough to answer. As far as I know, that’s the only way.

It is definitely possible to get it back. i have…lost it twice at least.

you can post videos through the mobile site though regardless of trust

All you can do is ask in the CS forums.

The constant requirement makes no sense in the first place. I basically have to open up a bunch of threads and scroll to the bottom every so often just to continue to be able to post silly gifs.

This is the biggest issue. The one metric gatekeeping people is “Read 25% of all posts made in the last 100 days”, which is absolute insanity and something that should, if anything, be a requirement for a full time paid moderator, not random user #3406 wanting to post a gif they found.

(No idea if the WoW forums have enough posts for that to hit the 20k cap or not, but 20k is insane all on its own).

I’ve never had TL3 without finding a megathread I will never contribute to and autoscrolling while I watch a movie or go to bed or something. It’s so easy to cheese it and the requirement is redundant in the face of other requirements anyway.

I just looked it up to remind myself. This is apparently the criteria for tl3. Or it was in 2018 at least:

Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

So if you’re talking a 3 month period, you just might not be at that 100 days quite yet.

I think something is wrong with it, myself.

I was reading threads for the three days I wasnt subbed…and now on second day back and still no TL3.

I was before sub ran out, and now its acting like I need to re-do the entire goals.

Kind of curious… recently?

I had TL3 back in BFA. Real life called and had to step away from the game during SL, came back during DF and trying to get my TL3 back since just before TWW launched. Sucks to lose TL3 cause real life called forcing me to step away entirely.

Letting your sub lapse does indeed seem to remove it. Mine lapsed for all of 5 days and i lost my tl3.

EDIT: A blue on the customer support forum advised that you in fact don’t lose your trust living simply from an account lapse. It seems my read count simply fell below the threshold for a 100 day period. The fact it happened when my account lapsed is apparently coincidental.

A blue can tell you in customer support what you need just ask.

So, I asked, turns out my TL3 loss was due to a 1 day suspension. Each suspension stays on for 6 months.

I can get it now, if not for that action.

So, lesson learned. I need to stay off the forums when in a baaaad mood.

I’m in the same position. Still well behaved but get booted constantly due to the stupid and pointless reading requirements.

they could really stand to redo this. it’s crazy to even try to get it, and if you lose it, thats months of getting it back.

I lost my R3 about 6 months ago. Despite being on the forums every day and reading, commenting, responding and :heart:s I still don’t have it back. Last time I checked (about a month ago) I was told I was still thousands of reads away from getting it.

Any system that requires people on a discussion forum to mindlessly scroll down posts with a lot of comments just to get that read number increased isn’t really doing a very good job. It just puts me off actually being on it, and I seriously have better things to do with my time.
