Please show replied to posts even if they are the one directly above.
Its hard to tell if they are replying to the post above them or the OP of the post.
If I am wrong and there is a way to know please tell me.
From what I can tell if there is a post between the 2 it will tell you but otherwise its guess work
this would be a really nice change.
I thought of this because I thought someone was replying to the OP and I got annoyed at them but from context realised they were talking to the person directly above them. Suddenly I sided with that poster.
At the very least, it’d be nice if you could quote the post directly above yours without jumping through hoops.

Until this happens (if it ever does) I’ll continue to just quote the above post, plus or minus one punctuation mark or emoji to get around the “no complete quotes from the above post” rule. Like so.
EDIT: Turns out removing emojis doesn’t count.
I have a habit of doing so if I think it might now flow naturally.
I assume people will see this and know its a reply so I dont bother
I’ve been trying to be more selective about what I quote when they’re immediately above me but when I do want to quote the entire thing I’ll post without the quote and then edit it in.
I’d also like to be able to edit the “replied to” link. Once in a while you click the wrong reply button and suddenly someone’s really annoyed. It would be really nice if I could edit who I had replied to originally.
I just had someone quote me and then change what I wrote…that was disappointing.

I’ve xferred all the characters I play horde a long time ago, but this is the one I had all the hivemind monocles on. A friend needed help getting the mount, so I had to make her horde as well.
funny that my forum toon being horde feels weirder than my druid being horde after 13 years as alliance lol

OMG, just had this same gripe about the forum software in another game forum that uses it.
Obviously the Discourse devs need beating about the head with pillows.

However, I don’t think Blizzard actually cares about making these boards an effective experience. The spellcheck flagging all non-standard WoW-specific names highlights that. At the least, Azeroth should not be flagged.
