Forum revamp

I lost it three times, but not all for the reasons you would think.

  1. I server transferred. Big mistake.
  2. I deserved this one for mass flagging, learned my mistake.
  3. Subscription expired.

I really just want a way to COMPLETELY ignore someone in all their iterations, one time.

rather than having to ignore each version of them separately.

once I decide that I donā€™t want to engage with someone anymore, I should be able to make that person stop existing to me altogether on this forum.

I donā€™t honestly care HOW this is accomplished. I just want the desired end result.

Not a revamp but something to block trolls and any other toxicity behavior that prevents me from lingering here for too long(I want to give feedback for Blizz at most). I donā€™t know about the Bnettag thing because that can be abused pretty easily. Being able to block seems pretty essential to me(Instead of just going into your own preferences to block).

And well more moderation is needed to.

Just wish that background color could change itā€™s been this color since Hector was a pup.

I got it a few times and I did learn quoting something flaggable can get you actioned too.

That was fun to find out. So Iā€™m careful how and who I quote now.

Enforce the rules and not cherry pick.

Yeah I censored part of a quote earlier today to be safe.

I donā€™t notice it on my phone. And on my desktop, I use Chrome with a Stylus design for it.

i learned that im being massed reported and they are restoring my posts its happened 3 times now its wild

I donā€™t even go that far.

yea they really need to do something

Iā€™m finding myself going to the WoW Reddit because it feels significantly less stale and more moderated than the actual WoW forums, which is ironic.

Also, popular posts are bumped up, and you donā€™t keep getting old necroā€™d post from some idiot or troll that didnā€™t bother to read the dates.

No trust-level nonsense, anyone can post videos or memes, and so-forth.

Thereā€™s significantly more chatter there- these forums are dead by comparison.

We used to have that

Then a guy kept posting narutoā€¦ ā€œmaterialā€ and now we donā€™t cuz people canā€™t be trusted

Trust levels are pretty dumb. Most pics are spam or attacking someone else. Kind of contradictory to ā€œtrustā€.

They thought with this forum system, it would foster more engagement and give people something to earn.

But every time someone has the trust level, all it fosters is ā€œhur dur u no life the forum, hur dur ur post count, stop trolling with pics!ā€

Not to mention the fact that having to maintain ā€œforum repā€ weekly is ridiculous. Which only means more posts and more harassment from people who have an obsession over post count.

Yea, people get mad over things they donā€™t have really easily

Also the maintenance part is kinda dumb

I donā€™t think itā€™s every time, but some people do use pics to go after people.

That I havenā€™t seen for quite some time. I do see people posting pics to be snarky or try to make things lighthearted. I do that sometimes. And Iā€™ve seen that taken incorrectly, so I try to be careful now. I donā€™t always succeed. But most of my gifs are meant for fun towards the topic to keep things fun.

Just look at all that :face_vomiting:

I was looking for a recent example. Post 90 in this thread is one.

I understand the whole ā€œfunā€ but one person will dig at someone else and claim it was just in fun. Iā€™ve seen small screenshots that are relevant and helpful but the spam is still spam and contradicts the whole ā€œtrustā€.
