The Technical Support forum is intended to provide a space for World of Warcraft players to discuss and troubleshoot technical issues together.
Please visit our Knowledge Center for possible resolutions and workarounds for common issues.
If you wish to contact our Support team directly, you may do so here:
Contact Blizzard Support – You can track all your communication with Customer Support through your Battle.net account.
Please keep all posts on topic. This includes technical issues, advice, and discussions related to technical support.
Bug reports should be submitted to the Bug Report forums. Game discussions, criticism, or commentary should be posted in the appropriate gameplay forums.
When seeking advice or discussing an issue, please create your own thread unless a topic for the issue already exists.
-
Do not hijack threads with a new topic. Posting an issue that is similar but ultimately different from the original topic may result in your post being overlooked or the original issue being derailed.
-
Use a subject line that clearly summarizes your issue, including the version of the game you’re using (Classic, Mainline, PTR, etc.). Vague titles like “I need help!” or “Can’t play no matter what” make your issue more difficult to resolve.
-
While we understand that dealing with technical problems can be frustrating, posting in an abusive or disparaging manner will not be tolerated. Our goal is to maintain a constructive environment where players can support one another.
-
Do not post direct contact information for other companies. You may link to official websites where contact info is available, but do not post the contact details directly on the forum.
-
To provide feedback on a ticket or Customer Support response you’ve received, please use the survey system available in-game or in your online ticket.
We hope this forum continues to be a helpful resource where users can quickly find solutions to their technical issues. To support this goal, we ask that all users follow the forum guidelines when participating in discussions.

Community forums work best when participants treat their fellow posters with respect and courtesy, so we ask that you take the time to read through the forum Code of Conduct before posting.
Important Reminders:
Search
The search function at the top of the World of Warcraft community site is extremely effective and robust. Before you create a new forum topic, please be use it to search for similar topics, blog posts, or web pages that may contain the answer for which you are looking. Making a new thread on an existing subject can result in your thread being deleted or, if you continue to re-post the same content, the loss of your forum privileges for spamming.
Rating and Flagging
The forum rating system can be used to promote positive discussion and report posts that violate the forum Code of Conduct. By clicking the “Heart” icon beneath a post, you can provide feedback for posters. Clicking the “Flag” icon will enable a pop up with radio buttons which will include reporting options. If enough people flag a post, it will be darkened, and if our support team determines it violates policy it may be deleted.
Please note that you can only rate each post once. Use your power wisely to help foster a positive and helpful forum community.
Solved
If you’ve found a solution to your issue, or fixed your issue on your own, you can mark your post and the entire thread as [Solved]. Only the creator of the thread (the “OP”, or Original Poster), or a Blizzard Forum Representative can mark a thread as [Solved]. Hover your mouse over the post that solved your issue, and click on the “Mark As Solution” button (it will appear along with the “Reply” and Quote buttons). The post will be tagged with a green “Marked As Solution” banner, and [Solved] will be added to the Title of your thread.
Please keep in mind that when a thread and post are declared [Solved], this may only apply to the OP’s particular issue and circumstances, and fits their unique combination of software and hardware. One fix or solution can help many other players, but it probably won’t help all players. If the fix or solution doesn’t help you, it is just one more factor to eliminate in the troubleshooting process, and we’ll try our best to help you narrow it down, to find the solution that applies to your computer, and your circumstances.

Guidelines
In addition to the forum Code of Conduct, here are some common courtesy guidelines to follow. While these do technically fall within the bounds of the Code of Conduct, they cover more specific examples of common errors that will lead to thread deletions or posting privileges being revoked.
The World of Warcraft forums are for discussion of topics directly related to World of Warcraft.
- The forums here are specifically to discuss the game and related topics. Any topics not related to World of Warcraft, Battle.net, or Blizzard Entertainment are subject to deletion.
Don’t post in all capital letters, use a misleading title, excessive punctuation, and/or non-standard symbols, etc.
- While everyone wants their posts read, we ask you to refrain from using these types of tactics in order to bring more people to your thread. Let your post stand on its own merit. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.
Using the words “Blizzard,” “Blue,” or any community team members’ names in a thread topic is frowned upon.
- Everyone would like Blizzard to read and acknowledge their post, and we understand that; however, use of such words in the subject line does not help that come to pass. Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.
Posting “First” or IBTL (“in before lock”) constitutes as spamming.
- You may be suspended if you create a post that is intended to call out that you achieved a specific reply number in a thread. This is considered spamming. Posting IBTL (“in before the lock”) is not helpful, and if you feel a thread should be moderated please use the rating button to do so.
Do not “bump” posts.
- The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called “necro bumping” or “necroing”).
Petition posts are frowned upon.
- These are discussion forums and, as such, we ask that you hold discussions. Creating a thread to ask for replies as votes is not a discussion. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.
Do not post about locked or deleted threads.
- Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. It’s up to you to read the forum Code of Conduct and these guidelines to determine what you did wrong, learn from your mistake, and attempt to post again without breaking any rules.
