Behold:

Redfall is a game made by Arkane Studios Austin, which was once under Bethesda Studios till they got bought by Microsoft themselves

Arkane Studios, prior to the Microsoft merger has always made good games, until Microsoft bought them

This may happen with Blizzard

Dunno about great but Microsoft has access to resources that would definitely improve the Blizzard brand.

Doubtful, but the current CEO of ABK would certainly no longer be with the company and that seems like a huge win.

My belief is that Microsoft mostly wants CoD. Blizzard wasn’t the same after Activision merged with them. And initially, my thoughts on them focusing more on Activision than Blizzard is a good thing.

However, they’ve been doing a good job so far, at least with Dragonflight, so now I am not so sure if MS acquiring them is a good idea now.

Also, I don’t see how anyone saw Redfall as some good game and not see a Left4Dead Walmart brand.

Studio under Bethesda releasing buggy broken games isn’t new never forget the launch of Fallout76.

I see no reason to particularly care one way or the other. It’s not like they’ve been knocking it out of the park lately anyway.

First off, Blizzard was already pumping out sub-par stuff before the buyout, so how would Microsoft make them even worse?
Second, look at Rare and even Bethesda now. Like Fallout 76 even got improved and got a positive score. FALLOUT 76.
Thrid, you’re taking a tweet from a Playstation fanboy :tm: that have the worst takes and are pretty anti-consumer. Their only reliable for laughs. :salt:

This is a story told about every studio… so, don’t expect miracles from any deal. It just gives the company more money to work with and yes, would likely get rid of Kotick.

I don’t see it as making a huge difference.

One companies accountants and stockholders are the same as anothers (in some cases literally). It hasn’t stopped Blizzard from taking WoW’s story in a grossly unpopular direction to please a handful of imbicile activists on Twitter, nor has it stopped them from hiring or continuing to employ activists to produce activist game content.

If the dropoff in MAU’s doesn’t phase Microsoft, then it doesn’t matter at all.

I’d have this more death loop wasn’t the seller they thought it be so (arkane) needed a new diversion. I did not like death loop, anyway.

Also their AI and other things has been wonky for a while. edit: if memory servers dishonored 1 and 2 both released with issues. They “got gud” months of fixes later.

I’ve played the crap out of dishonored series. After I get my ghost/no kill achievements done, it “game on” working all that wonkiness for other achievements. Noting you use “traits” of the AI to make this easier too.

I love the series mind you (death of the outsider no so much tbh…but its not hated either)…but sometimes the hard part is not exploiting when you know you can.

That same AI and other game stuff was in the loop game too.

I pre-loaded this game so I guess I get to play it tonight as I put the wrath leveler on rested xp break lol.

Game pass so…its part of the sub. I love game pass.
