Forsaken Shamans

Because why not?

Death/skull totems
An abomination-like Earth Elemental
Bone Shield instead of Earth Shield
etc

Lots of potential for mail xmog options

Would you be willing to accept a filthy water from an Undead Shaman to heal you? Its just black water. No harms!

Make it happen Blizz!

Because it’s dumb?

Forsaken are unnatural.

Why would the forces of nature listen to YOU.

Natural connection with earth! We’ve been real been dead before, lived 6ft under, eating dirt from the very earth itself!

They listen to goblins, it really isn’t that much sillier.

At least goblins are alive. Forsaken are alive unnaturally.

Would work better as a class skin (if those ever become a thing).

Something like a Mad Scientist who heals with ichors, uses electrodes instead of totems and summons flesh constructs instead of elementals

Because it would be awesome, so… they said no.

Forsaken do not have any ties to the elements. They do not respect nature, and they’re not savvy masters of the deal like Goblins.

This is actually pretty solid

Has my seal of approval

Also mechagnome paladins because they make electricity and electricity makes light and paladins use the light

In Rise of the Horde, the elements REFUSED to help the orcs after they commit to the genocide of the Draenei… They went so far as to abandon the orcs in the middle of battle, forcing the shaman to fight in melee with staves (I guess orcs didn’t know what a shield was back then).

Basically, the elements aren’t cool with war crimes, of which the Forsaken have racked up quite a few.

Goblins bribe them

Normally I would say no, but I feel like it could be tied in through Maldraxxus somehow

Nah. Not every race should be able to be every class.

Removed another layer of uniqueness to racial choices.

If Forsaken Priests exist, I don’t see why Forsaken Shaman cannot. Plus, shaman is something that can be taught or learned rather easily if you look at how the draenei themselves came across it. So it’s not like there’s an exemption status saying a reason a Forsaken can’t do it.

So…what about Orcs almost committing mass genocide of the Draenei race…yet still retaining connections to the elements. The Orcs have green skin cause they were ā€œtaintedā€ā€¦you don’t think they committed ā€œcrimes?ā€ Not a solid argument to exempt Forsaken from being Shaman.

Those are called death knights.

You’re thinking of death knights.

Technically anything that is alive can be a shaman. Undead are beings of life as they are capable of being monks. Monks harness the element of spirit, that they call chi, which is the element of life/life energy to strengthen and enhance their bodies and perform their brand of magic. What shaman do is use is to create a connection to the other elements that naturally seek balance between all the elements. Through this connection they can ask elemental spirits to assist them.

All living things create and radiate the element of spirit(essentially the force) which is why when the orcs killed the draenei in mass the elemental spirits refused to aid the orcs for a time. They upset the balance between the elements by depriving the other elements the spirit that that many draenei were radiating.

The act of mass murder also likely created an excess of the element of decay(there is not a lot of info on this element) which throws elemental spirits into a frenzy.

Overall there is no reason that Undead can’t become shaman other than the Teldrassil incident but the lore around that is really whack as apparently Elune ā€˜let’ it happen so that the souls would provide their anima to Ardenweald.

I’ll agree as soon as Gnomes get to be druids.
