Forsaken retake Undercity, Gilneans retake Gilneas, and Night Elves... get exiled from their homeland

In Warcraft 3, Tyrande VOCALLY protests to the Horde and Alliance running rampart in “OUR lands” while they are in Ashenvale. She makes no similar protest to the Horde presence in Durotar (Until they start cutting down Ashenvale’s borders) or the Alliance and their stuff in the EK.

“OUR lands” means Northern Kalimdor. It’s painfully obvious where their culture is centered. Tyrande literally draws the line at “stepping foot” into Ashenvale. I don’t know how much more clear it can be that they consider Northern Kalimdor their home and nothing else.

Did you seriously need to start ANOTHER topic about this debunked trash?

Just going to post this early so people know what’s actually going on with the Night Elves:

Buffed : Worgen and night elves have disappeared from Stormwind on the PTR. Will they live in the Emerald Dream from now on?

Katherine Bankson: It’s potentially one of the new havens for the night elves, but I wouldn’t say it’s their only home. It’s certainly a place they can call home, but it’s not the only place. The night elves have experienced a number of tragedies over the past 10,000 years and have often had to look for a new home. They hope that they will find peace in their dreams and will not have to search for a new home again. For us, Amirdrassil is a place where you can rest until you find something new."

Highlighting the really important part:

It’s potentially one of the new havens for the night elves, but I wouldn’t say it’s their only home. It’s certainly a place they can call home, but it’s not the only place.

There is no evidence, whatsoever, that the Night Elves are leaving Kalimdor. And we have confirmed information from Blizzard (from an interview that dropped before Blizzcon) that the Night Elves are not losing their homes. Only that Amirdrassil will be ‘one of many’ that the Night Elves will get to choose from.

So ignore the bait from the OP. He’s been presented this info in his previous thread on this topic. He refuses to acknowledge it.

And they are still protecting those areas, your point and complaints hinges on pure speculation of your part.

Being fair we mostly abandoned that charge after WC3. The Cenarion Circle manages Hyjal now largely, and that includes tauren and troll members.

The Night Elves opened themselves up to share the responsibility, but that doesn’t mean they entirely hand it off to someone else. It is their original sin they are still atoning for.

Except how the cinematic and how other rpers have interpretated it says otherwise. The implication has been that they would be moving to Amirdrassil. I feel like removing the night elves from Stormwind would have been better if they did it when Shadows Rising was released, and the book stated that most had left for Nordrassil. Whereas doing this during 10.2 makes it seem as though that they had left Stormwind for Amirdrassil.

I made that point to them in the other thread, and they refuse to acknowledge the overwhelming implications of the in-game representation and keep citing the book and the interview as the only things that matter.

No where and I mean NO WHERE does the game, make the implication that the Kaldorei are abandoning Kalimdor. You guys are at that stage where you literally have to make stuff up just to complain

A group can have multiple holdings around the world. But I guess that’s in inconvienant truth for some

The legion was defeated, there is no sin to atone for.

Then leave us alone if we’re so crazy lol.

This bit always confuses me, since it feels like the writing wants the race to have it both ways for pity points while trying to show “it wasn’t THESE night elves, only the highborne that were decadent and ruined the world”.

Either the alliance night elves are at fault for screwing up the world or they aren’t. The original sin isn’t theirs if they can’t be blamed for it.

Except, you know, maybe shattering the world.

Stop making the same bait threads than, when it’s been explained numerous times that Kalimdor isn’t being abandoned

Please, this is doomposting and you know it.

Again, we have confirmation from Blizzard, specifically developers that work on the story and story adjacent content, that the Night Elves are only getting an additional place to call home. Not that they are losing any territory or that they’re being exiled (also exiled by who? The Horde? The Night Elves pushed the Horde out of their territory back to pre-war of thorns boundaries).

You missed the cinematic where Tyrande blesses the waters of Amirdrassil which can be seen on youtube. Because the implication I got was that they were going to move to that tree. And you missed the part where I talked about them making the mistake of taking out the night elf refugees from Stormwind in 10.2 and not in 9.2.5. If you’re going to quote anything I say, at least have the consideration to quote the whole thing. Thank you.

This is genuinely long overdo for the Worgen, and I think they were lead on a string long enough since Cata. It’s not out yet, so I certainly cant pretend to know how it’s going to go, if it’ll be written well, or if blizzard is gonna do some neutral city rug pull, but in concept, this is something gnomes and NE’s also deserved for the same reasons.

They took collective responsibility for it, even though the survivors were the victims. That’s what a collectivist culture does. They come together, accept responsibility for the worst parts of their society, and take great strides to ensure it doesn’t happen again. The Kaldorei (minus the Highborne who have rejoined them) are NOT the ones who allowed the Legion into the world, but they ARE the ones who let the Highborne and Azshara to rise as they did.

I saw the cinematic. They aren’t abandoning Kalimdor. And Night elves plant moonwells in a lot of places. They had a functional one on AU Draenor for crying out loud

You’re reading what’s not there

I honestly don’t trust anything Blizzard has written for the kaldorei after the heritage quest was a complete and utter disaster really. Oh and them writing nearly all of the kaldorei getting wiped out during the Burning of Teldrassil which…they all shouldn’t have been at Teldrassil.
