Undead paladins exist. This is not up for debate. They’re already real.
Forsaken paladins however do not exist, and it’s easy to see why when it’s a known fact that when the undead use the light it makes them feel the fact that they’re undead.
Every rotting wound. Every maggot in their skin. Every missing organ. It’s excruciating.
But this would not actually stop the Forsaken from having paladins, because we just got a ton new customization options for forsaken that make them less dead.

Restrict undead paladins to the fresh skin option, the intact jaw option, and any eye option other than sockets.
The lore justification would be former paladins have found that the better condition they keep their bodies, the less the use of the Light hurts them, so by keeping their bodies in immaculate condition they can once again be paladins.
It of course requires extreme dedication and constant upkeep, but if anyone was willing to put in that kind of effort, it would be paladins.
Better yet, remove all class/race restrictions and while we’re at it remove all transmog restrictions that aren’t class specific items because gameplay > lore.
Logic loops like forsaken priests/pallies wouldnt of happened if we had just gotten dedicated race/classes with prestige talents to take it a step further.
This would be pretty cool. There could be an entire meditative process when they replace body parts. I think they should also get an unhunched option at the same time. Make them proud that they can wield the light like that again. You could also use this to make the average storm wind hate the forsaken even more especially with scarlet crusade propaganda. How dare these undead monstrosities use the light against us? Or something like that idk I don’t know alliance lore that well and don’t know how they would react really
that’s why it has happen, “its rare, requires dedication, its challenging” all of this means nothing when anyone can be paladin without any real requirement
Technically yes. Any race can be any class from the perspective of what could possibly happen in the World of Warcraft. Could a Lightforged Draenei make such a big contribution to Cenarius and become a Druid? Possibly.
Should forsaken get Paladin as a playable class? No thanks.
It isn’t very rare for humans. What they are implying are the circumstances in which you describe are not indicative of the forsaken as a race are likely to want to go through.
Unlike a ton of races where their devotion to the light is a boon.
Or how about we keep with the lore that says ‘no Forsaken paladins’ and you accept that they’ll never be a thing.
The undead paladins that exist in lore do not have a choice as to whether or not they want to use their light based abilities. In all cases, they’re thralls to another powerful being who is forcing them to do as they say.
Forsaken have that free will to decide if they want to use power which severely hurts them and surprise, surprise, the vast majority of Forsaken choose not to tap into that power, instead choosing to use shadow magic. There are only a scant few Forsaken who are willing to put themselves through the pain to tap into the light as priests. The number who are willing to put themselves through the training to become paladins, which is more intense, would be even smaller/non-existant.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Also, if we’re going to give the Horde more Paladin races, then let’s start with the only two that makes sense: Highmountain Tauren and Trolls.
HMT worship An’she, just like any other awesome tauren.
Vol’jin is probably going to be the new Loa of Kings.
