Forsaken and Meat Wagons

Do Forsaken actually use Meat Wagons? I ask this because I have never actually seen them in use, but they constantly show up as decoration around Forsaken camps and I think I even recall a zone where they reference using them. Only confused because they already have the Catapult.

So does anyone know?

The one time I know of off the top of my head was up in Northrend, in the Howling Fjord. They attempted to use them against the entrenched Alliance forces along the coast.
Though I don’t believe they got used, as the frozen ground made it difficult to use them.

So yea, they do use Meatwagons from time to time.

The Scourge used meatwagons to throw corpses and meat because they were trying to spread the Scourge plague. The Forsaken on the other hand only like to throw acid bombs, so their catapaults work better for that.

I never really understood that bit about Meat Wagons. Like, I understand the base concept. But how does spreading plague directly result in a Town Hall just friggin exploding after enough corpses are lobbed at it?

Maybe this is why Horde catapults are so powerful. They reverse-engineered the raw strength of the Meat Wagons.

No, but I was considering it.

I have the Meat Wagon mount and if you stand still and hit space, or whatever button you have for jump, it fires the meat catapult. It’s pretty fun

There was a cooking quest in Undercity to catch some flies that were hanging around one of the meat wagons. Maybe their real purpose is for attracting flies?

Ah, I’ve always thought they were use to sow terror.

It’s a tactic IRL armies have used often. Genghis Khan threw corpses of bubonic plague victims over city walls of cities he was sieging.

I got that part. Just not how they were the equivalent of actual siege weapons back in Warcraft 3 and were capable of knocking towers over.

The corpses they’re flinging must be hella solid.

Even the descriptions of them make it sound like it’s just diseased meat. Interesting that the WC3 unit LITERALLY spreads the scourge plague on hit.

Put enough dark magic in a corpse and you’d be surprised what they can knock down. I mean Sylvanas took out one of those new Alliance siege towers on her own and we didn’t even have to fling her from a catapult first.

…If you’ll excuse me, I think I just found how we’ll win this war.
