I THOUGHT they had some sites white listed already at TL2. I could be wrong though. I am not sure which ones though. Youtube I think and others?

TL 2 used to be able to post links from trusted sites like Wowhead and YouTube, but I don’t think they can anymore.

Youtube reddit twitter I believe work but the embed thing is currently bugged so you gotta link and post real fast so you usually can only have 1 link… unless you put it in another doc then post real quick.
You can you just gotta post before it embeds.

Weird, it let me edit the post to add the video, but when I try to edit the post to say “Looks like I was wrong” I get an error.

Yep it does that.
Basically type it in like google docs or something then copy paste it over and mash post before it imbeds.
Btw that only works on whitelisted sites so if you’re gonna do it with anything else it don’t work.

Even for TL3, the forum has been choking on some embeds with a fairly-large subset of giphy images since June of last year. 
They’ll work with manual markup embedding but won’t with the auto-embed.

That is so strange. Yeah forums are just a MESS anymore. 
youtube halfway don’t work when it used to and it’s just… ug.

There has been an empty spot under our level/class for over 4 years now that could display our battle tags without really changing the formatting.
That being said, they chose to favor guild names over our character names for some odd reason that I’ll never understand. Many people’s names are truncated to 1 or 2 letters on mobile to this day. Their formatting priorities don’t make sense to me.

I haven’t been interested in WoW for quite some time and only came back to play SoD with a friend who is barely active anymore since phase 2 started, so I get it. The forums won’t be as fun without you and your gifs.

these forums really need a rehaul. we should be able to post pics and stuff w/o these dumb rules. none of this trust level nonsense. if people get really ridiculous then they should simply start having “pic bans” on ppls account or something. it takes way too long to get these fun things and even something like a 1day ban for w/e reason completely breaks the cycle. so thats another 6-8 months of getting it back and thats one character if you dont switch out. hell 99% of the time i cant even post videos and that was free to do lol.

Weirdly enough, I lost access to the Lounge even though I’m a voracious forum reader.
I can’t post gifs anymore. Ugh. This is worse than the time I actually got suspended from the forum and had to re-earn TL3.

Just have basic minimum post count/time gate before new users can post images, videos and links, and this is nothing more than an anti-spam policy.
Throw out TL entirely.

Howmanyzat? I’m catching some of the threads and actually reading them. Y’all here in WAGGLE don’t seem as “hemmed in” by what you write as we are in The Lounge. I think I’m at 2k, but not sure. Trying to figure out if it’s worthwhile. I may just hang out here. Do I need an invite?

You can join any Lounge thread you want. CS, Waggle, etc. There are a few around. Lurk a bit to pick up any inside jokes or conventions, but other than that these are not private discords
