blizz was already working on the classic concept quite a bit earlier than was suggested at blizzcon.
the rest of it is ythisens assuring the audience that the classic devs are working very hard at making classic as vanilla as possible.

Pretty much all development and design works like this. Most people don’t work in that type environment though and think things just pop up and are done.
I work as an engineer and we design new equipment for a few years before we even think about mentioning that we have it to a customer.

You saying he said that knowing they were developing Classic? Brack said that in, I believe, 2013…still years before they started research and analysis of the feasibility of Classic.

What really got me thinking this was in the works longer than we know. When they talked about the prototype before they even announced the classic team. Go back and watch that video of Brack saying you think you do but you don’t. That is a practiced delivery. He rehearsed that…
Ythisens said on classic cast that it would have been like a month or 2 after they shutdown nost.
