I use the most popular pet addons but for life of me i can’t remember which one and how to show a list of pets for each zone on my screen…
I think that’s part of Pet Tracker.
But how do I turn it on again any idea? Just found out Pet Tracker isn’t working correctly in Shadowlands just yet…listed as a issue on curseforge.
Click the map and select ‘Show pets’
Pet Tracker just got updated a few mins ago …so maybe its working now it was listed as not being able to work in SL…
Pet Tracker I haven’t used lately. I did check on Battle Pet Breed ID, and it had been updated less than an hour. (3 hrs ago).
I installed the up dated version, and now I have the new pets possible breeds. They are alot more varied than I had expected.
Pet Tracker used to be, If you clicked your map’s Magnify symbol, you could select “Show Pets by region” from the drop-down list.
Thats how I think it was. When Legion came in, maybe? I quit using it. Good fortune attend you with it.
Edit… Maybe that was by zone.
And… In my pet journal, if I type in a zone name, A list of pets comes up. Try that.
2nd edit. Ok, finally got it. Maybe Pet Tracker works again!

How do you type in zone name I can’t find where to type anything in my pet journal or I am just blind…
I am not sure if this what you mean, but if you go to your map and click the magnifying glass, click Species, you will then get a search box underneath. If you type Missing it will show you which ones you are missing on your map by their an icon. If no icon shows on your map, then you are not missing any pets from that zone. 
Furthermore, you can filter your pet list in the following manner.
Sources > Pet Battle
Other > Current Zone
Not Collected - Check On
Collected - Check Off
This will show you the pets you have not collected that are from Shadowlands and can be found in the current zone you are in. Happy Hunting!

In game, open your Pet Journal.
In the upper left- hand corner is the ‘Search Pets’ box.
Type your key-words in that box. I’ve used Zone names for key-words, And I’ve used ability names, like ‘Wing Buffet’ or ‘Mangle’.
I am using Battle Pet breed ID, Battle Pet Battle Stats, Battle Pet Ability Tool Tips, and Rematch. The In-game Pet Journal won’t do this, I think its Rematch that makes it work. good luck.
One thing I have seen is that the icon for pets has changed
It used to be a paw print. Not sure what it is now. But you may want to mouse over your map to find them. Can be tricky if you have Handy Notes installed because the map can get cluttered.
