Honestly Just venting, but this might help other people.
I’m used to just chasing gear like most expansions but this expansion I forgot about a couple of things that aren’t just sitting in a conquest vendor.
Basically I planned out my gear perfectly if it were like Any other expansion that would have pvp gear.
I screwed up on planning my chest piece as it’s not something you should convert to a tier piece ( due to having the best stats) and it’s something you should craft for the embellishment this expansion, brings me to my next mistake.
I have 0 embellishments atm.
And the first two weeks I forgot about my crafting reagents for pvp you get for free.
So 3 mistakes? And really big ones at that. I won’t be able to fix it until conquest becomes unlimited so I’m basically fallen behind for the next 4 weeks.
The beginning of a season is the biggest part of pvp because if you don’t make mistakes you’ll be a cut above everyone else. Aka Cheesing the competition.
Anyways there’s a season 4 so if anyone out there is like me, just keep this in mind next season. These are tips that most people probably remember by now since it’s season 3, my issue was I just came back and forgot all about DF crafting portion essentially.

True but the beginning of season is the most important if you want to cheese to gladiator before conquest becomes unlimited.
I prefer afking until the last two weeks of the season and playing the overtuned ball of stats comp.

Ohh exactly opposite of me. If someone falls behind like I accidentally have then for like 8 weeks you are a gear piece above people and it’s a big hit that way. Your way sounds good but with all the nerfs going out it’s hard to tell what will perform well. Usually warrior performs very well with higher gear, so that maybe why. I know rogues and DH perform seemingly better at beginning game vs end game.
Not sure if I consider not making mistakes “cheesing the competition”

Crafting allows you to get conquest pieces with any stat combination, in any slot, that you want. It’s literally the best feature they have added to the game this expansion… 
I could do without embellishments but that’s another story.

Counterpoint: crafting is awful. I don’t want to interact with it in any way regardless of player power. In fact the more player power it provides, the worse it is because it means I have to interact with that system.
Uh, yeah, I hate crafting. That’s why I’m explicitly saying I hate crafting. Crafting is bad, whoever puts it in their games is bad and should feel bad. What else can I say? Please make it go away forever.
The only times it works are when the game is built around crafting and you’re explicitly seeking out that quality in the game. I remember enjoying Minecraft, Terraria and other crafting survival games. Also Star Wars: Galaxies was kind of neat because that was a social sandbox MMO. Games with other objectives like combat oriented ones always have the most cynical, un-fun, usually contrived and time-wasting implementations of crafting.
Crafting was never good in WoW and it never will be. 
making a crafted piece takes two minutes out of your life. Get a spark, get reagents, get your ilvl reagent, poof done. Idk how you could possibly find something so easy, and something that makes pvp gearing so much better, to be so bad

Because they might have to interact with a human being for 2 seconds instead of a robot with gear pieces on it.

Mmmm. It’s just a reason for a small gold sync is the way I see it. And this expansion kind of proves that a majority of the wow population doesn’t pvp much because people say there is no gold sync, I’m over here like damn. I gotta either farm this for hrs or buy a TON of reagents.
It’s like 3k a craft at max.
