Hey all,
Its Azeroth’s Greatest Blacksmith this side of Maelstrom and I have a question for yall. Who is interested in an RP Blacksmithing event in the same vein as forged in fire? (Forged in Blackrock).
We give out a bunch of blacksmithing tasks, rp out the event, roll some dice to see who crafted the superior item etc etc.
Its an idea i’ve been thinking of for a little bit now but I want to get some feedback before I start putting it together.

Sounds pretty neat to me! I say do it!
That sounds like a fun event!
Rather than having characters roll to see how well they did, I would consider setting up the rolling to be for unexpected complications/bad luck happening to the participants, so as to mitigate the issue of ‘well my character should be more skilled than the rolls led me to believe, I want a +x bonus to my rolls to honor their lifetime of practice’, etc. Not necessarily because people want to Win/Powerplay, but because their character genuinely has skills that it would be out of character to ignore.
Would players do it all by emote, or would they actually use Blacksmithing profession to craft a weapon?
If the latter, could it be paired with a prologue event for miners?
This sounds very fun! I’d love to participate or visit and have Juspion obverse and learn the different “artifice” techniques applied by the different cultures and communities outside his own.
This sounds great! Count me in!
Contestant number three; I see you have forged a saronite katana, and as we have seen in the first trial it will cut, but will it kill…
…your sanity and make you a slave of the old gods?
I really like this idea better than random chance. Perhaps the forge flares up to create to much heat, or the iron was rusted and brittle. Each roll during forging would give a +/- to your rolls during the practical event, such as cutting, stabbing, or withstanding blows.
Each person would rp out what happens while forging, though perhaps it’ll be 3 rounds. Forge a 1-handed weapon, 2-handed weapon and a piece of armor.
This would also give people time to gather up the supplies for the weapons and armor they want to craft
