You can play Forever Beta on Mac.
I thought the question was obvious, though implied. 
there is no option to download the beta in the blizzard launcher. At least, not on Mac.
Yes, but it will have buggy visuals I’m told until next beta build.
According to folks in the WoW Forever forum, the download isn’t available to anyone yet
You can manually install it - check out reddit wowforever sub or classicwow - one of them tells you how. use at your own risk

Any of you Mac users gotten in yet? I was able to install the beta but now I keep get the message “The application encountered an unexpected error.” whenever I try to launch the game from the launcher. Not sure if this is a me problem or an overall Mac problem at the moment.
I was able to download it from the launcher. but now I- and the rest of humanity- are stuck in very long login queues that you get kicked out of and go back to the line for.
they… grossly underestimated beta interest in this.
But to clarify, you are able to launch the actual game on a Mac and you’re in the queue? Because that’s further than I’m able to get so far.
That’s what I said.
Restart your launcher. Go to the Wow Forever button. It should say “install” if you have beta access.
Once you’ve installed and launched, expect an extremely long queue.
Ok, that means something is wrong with my install then because I’ve already installed but whenever I try to launch I get the “application encountered an unexpected error” message. Restarted the launcher multiple times now, restarted whole computer as well.
update: i finally got in to create my character, pressed enter world and after a long loading screen, the beta crashed my entire computer forcing a hard restart. Like… kicked out to log-in screen for MacOS and unable to even type there. LOL.
looks like it will be a while before this is sound enough to be useful.
I just got in and made a forsaken character. Everything looks green… Clearly they have work to do.
Had the same happen to me. Got in, made character, enter world and the entire machine locked up and panicked into restart.
It has now happened to me twice. My suspicion is that the beta version for MacOS is not good at all.
I’m going to let it sit for a while before I try again. Might even wait until tomorrow or another beta build.
context: Mac Mini M4 running 26.6.2 (I haven’t gone to 27 yet)
Yep, same thing here, computer reboot while cinematic was playing. Then again when attempting to login a second time.
Same, twice now. Going to really crank down the settings and try again.
So yeah, it’s not just the forsaken starting area. I made an orc mage and everything is green here too. It actually looks awful. This is disappointing.
Having the same issue, Mac locks up and forces a restart after a couple minutes of being frozen at the end of the loading screen.
