I was suspecting the same thing. Even questioned why Derek went with the horde if Kul’tiras is fine with these druids. 
Agreed plus all the drust forms already exist for Kul Tiran druids.
Mainly cause the Undead are experienced with being a zombie and could help him cope with it.
Specially with someone as compassionate like Calia helping around.
