Foreground & Background FPS Settings

Just put together an i9-9900k PC with a 1070 GTX TI topped off with a Acer Predator 32 inch 165Hz refresh rate monitor. When i set my Foreground + Background FPS to 200 my GPU goes to like 80%+ load and my PC is loud due to the GPU Fans spinning at almost full speed… I can get 200 steady fps in open world in certain zones but when I get to town it dips down to about 90-100’s.

My question is… Is there an optimal Foreground and Background FPS i should be setting WOW at without going overboard? I am coming from a 60hz monitor and honestly dont know what the sweet spot is for my current system…

I am no expert but 200fps setting I would think is uncalled for…great if u can get it and maintain it but I set mine at 100 for foreground and 50 for back ground but like I said I am no expert

Hi Darlok

I imagine that Predator monitor is of the Gsync variety. I would follow this guide:
