Forcing to play wow on 64 bit is unacceptable >:(

I do not agree with the developers to have removed the 32 bit version because the 64 bit is a problem during the dungeon raid, I lag because of you, you forced me to play Wow in the accursed 64 bit version and I lose a lot of FPS. It’s entirely your fault!

It’s 2018 lol, 64-bit is the standard now. The only thing I can think of that even is mostly 32-bit is the most budget of the budget netbooks. WoW’s system requirements have gone up significantly over the course of the life of the game, due to the implementation of various features etc. If your specs are within Blizzard’s range, there’s no reason why you should have an unreasonable WoW experience.

just get a second 32-bit processor and you’ll have 64 bits, problem solved

No, only 32-bit are pretty light than 64 bit, I saw the game 64 bit took 80% of my processor :rage:

Every xpac the game grows with the technology. The games been around for 14 years now. You can’t play the game on a 14 year old computer though, and I wouldn’t want to be able to. Keep a computer long enough, eventually WoW will become unplayable on it.

There may be one bit of good news for you though. In 8.1 the game will be able to utilize multi-threading from your processor, which should allow you to be able to play using a smaller percentage of your processor, while also receiving better performance.

Time marches on. I dont think anyone with a 32 bit machine would be capable of running wow.

Assuming this isn’t a troll, 64-bit architecture started in 2003 and was the default by like 2008. Unless you’re a long-running financial institution or government service where new systems take ages to certify and upgrade, I’d be surprised if you had a 32-bit system that still ran at all, much less played WoW.

CPU lag is pretty rare. When it happens it’s usually caused by improper parallelization. For a while people would fall for out-of-the-box computers from Staples or whatever, that often used multicore processors where individual cores were way too weak, and before a whole lot of software was written to properly thread them. You’d pick up a computer that boasted 4Ghz without seeing it was spread across 1Ghz cores, try to play a game that required 2Ghz and wasn’t coded to recognize more than one core, and wonder why your shiny new machine was bogging down on a game from five years ago.

Hodor, my computer doesn’t have 14 years old, it’s 6 years old this year.

I honestly thought this was a troll post, which is why I ignored it yesterday.

I work in IT, and I started seeing 64-bit processors on desktop computers around 2007 or so. I pretty sure that any PC built within the last 8 years is 64-bit. Granted, it’s possible that a factory installation of Windows could be 32-bit even if the hardware is 64-bit. To fix that, you’d need to reinstall Windows.

I do understand that some people don’t have the budget to buy a new computer every 3 or 4 years. I’m sure Blizzard didn’t make the decision lightly, but at some point that have to stop supporting code that the vast majority or people aren’t using.

I didn’t mean that your computer was 14 years old. I was just making a point that they can’t keep supporting older computers forever. If your computer is only 6 years old but using a 32 bit processor, it was probably one of the last, if not the last year any computer was built using a 32 bit processor. So if you buy a relatively cheap, low power non-gaming computer you can’t expect it to run games much longer than 6 years.

to play long enough on the same pc, I need the powerful computer so that I can play at high diffinition, I hate to go into low definition at 100% and want to play on 64 bit 100% supportable in HD, NEVER LD (LOW DEFFINITION).

And my computer will soon die but it is still good except the quality is REALLY ugly to me. I can not wait for my pc to be dead and replace it with a powerful pc to play a 64-bit game. This is my next purchase.

16-bit raids would be kind of lit, though.

16-bit ! uh!!! it’s completely abandonned because there are no one who use 16-bit.

WoW needs a 2D sidescroller raid.
