I dont know where to complain about this or where to give my feedback. So I chose this forums, hope this is the right one.
Anyways, as the topic describes. Why must I PVP for PVE means? This is the most ridiculous thing. I dont want to talk or everyone, but I’m sure I’m not the only one. Also, Im pretty sure it works both ways PVPers having to PVE.
This has been a repetitive topic throughout the latest expansions. I love PvE and I try raiding on guilds aiming for Famed an such. But as a Fire Mage, the BiS trinket since last expansion has been the PvP trinket, and if I dont get enought rating in PVP I dont get my BiS trinket and do horrible damage.
Why is it so hard to make I dont know, the last boss drop the exact same trinket but named “sire denathrius’ pvp trinket” or whatever you wanna call it. I really dont understand, I assume you know how your classes work, and a class that revolves around bursting every minute and then staying afk till your cds are back, will want a trinket that give him stats every minute as a best in slot trinket. Its just plain math.
Honestly just make the trinket not able to be activated in raids and M+ and get it over with. I rather be more nerfed this way than having to lose my mind delaing with the most unbalanced game I have ever played PVP wise.
You are literally making me do something I hate in order to stay relevant in something I love. Its just plain stupid. I dont know how else to explain this. I know you can say “oh but you dont have to, just be suboptimal with your mage and go have fun with our perfectly balanced covenants” but please, spare me. Anyone who actually plays this game in a decent PVE level know you NEED to PVP, now more than the past expansion. (Specially if you are a mage)
When I heard you nerfed PVP trinkets I was hoping this woul be enough, and in most clases, it was. But in some others, it was not. Hopefully you can do something about this. Because im just losing interest.
I mean I’m sure you would of still went 10/10 normal without the trinket.
I’m sure you still would of timed a +11 without that trinket.
Saying you don’t want to be “sub optimal” is a you issue, not a blizzard issue.
No one is forcing you to get that trinket. I’m not sure if another trinket sims close to it, I’m sure they do according to altered time, that trinket isn’t even top 3.
So to answer any doubts you have, no you don’t need to pvp if you hate it.
You would of accomplished all that you have done without that specific trinket.
You’re forcing this min/max mentality on yourself.
Welcome to how pvprs have been feeling for a long time, cry me a river that you only need a trinket, you can get that thing in 1 day worth of pvp, a little longer if you want the conquest version, but trinkets are cheap not like weapons price.
In previous xpacs people that play pvp competitively were literally forced to pve since mythic gear and busted pve trinkets were bis, that’s way more time and commitment towards and entire population of players that might or might not want to participate in pve.
That being said, my rant is not personal, just got pissed that you are experiencing a tiny fraction of Blizzards BS, you are not wrong, you should not be forced to do pvp to get a bis item, and blizz could do a better job on balancing gear between both contents, how this can be accomplished I am not so sure, but so far this xpac feels a bit better than BFA regarding gearing for pvp.
This mage is not my main mage btw, I dont even know why it got this character to post with but it does not matter, my pve progress does not have 1 thing to do with this post.
A minmax mentality has never been bad. Who doesnt want to deal more damage when they can? Who doesnt want to heal or mitigate more damage when they can? Its common sense. If I can do better, I will do better. Some people like you might not care, and thats ok. You do you,
I think im not asking anything out of this world. Just let me have better trinkets for PVE than the ones PVP give you.
I understand, I actually enjoyed PVP in WOTLK and was a full time PVPer. I started raiding because I wanted the OP raid trinkets. Joined a guild who cleared heroic content and started to like PVE more.
I’ve been in both scenarios. After all these years playing this game, I figured out writing something in the forums would be more productive than not saying anything at all.
If you don’t want to do what it takes to get your most preferred trinket, then you don’t get to have your most preferred trinket. This forum is filled with people whining to Blizzard to change the entire game because they don’t want to spend any time doing anything they don’t absolutely 100% love, but they also want to get everything they want exactly when they want it, so that they can do .97% higher DPS in raid. Stop it.
