New player, just finished the main campaign.
I’m wondering if I should go do the quests in Forbidden Reach which I’m assuming was 10.1? Or skip and head straight to Emerald Dream?
Just skip to Emerald Dream. Forbidden Reach is awful, plenthora of mobs have huge chunk of HP, it’s not even funny. The cave leads to lava spider and evil blue dragonkin is awful, awful and awful!

Forbidden reach is just a filler zone to keep players busy for season 1 while they worked on ZC.

Go where the quest, breadcrumbs take you OP.
It never hurts to go through forbidden reach if there is a quest taking you there first to experience it but you aren’t missing much in my opinion. It is just a matter of experiencing it full as a new player and getting the most bang for your buck instead of rushing to the new zone.
If you skip the forbidden reach, you aren’t missing much.
Emerald Dream is also a filler zone, lets be real lol

If you want to follow the story in order, Reach → Zaralek → Dream.
If you just want to jump into the current content, go straight to Dream.

Emerald Dream. If you’re a collector, in the Forbidden Reach you’ll probably find the rares very hard or impossible to solo and the zone mostly empty.

At least it’s much better than Forbidden Reach and Zaralek Cavern.
How so?
Forbidden reach - you had a bare bones activity in zskera vaults, farmed rares that were sometimes impossible to get to, and currency for knick knacks… some story sprinkled through.
Zaralek Cavern, had obnoxious minnesota rats with high HP rares and an event that no one did after tuesday… and some story quests.
Emerald Dream, has some story quests, you plant a seed and hope to get something while squashing bugs or pulling roots and follow a treant from LOTR that I wish I could ride on his shoulder protecting him as I get happy knowing I have a normal PC finally to avoid having all those spells melt my laptop that I used to play.
There really isn’t much going on in any of these zones , they all are respectively on the same level. Emerald Dream subjectively can be a taaaaaad better. But not by much.
I just don’t like FR or Zaralek, but I suppose Emerald Dream isn’t meant for everyone.
I really enjoyed it as a Druid. Lots of cool loot for Druids, and we’re having an RP meeting at Verdant Landing. Have you seen these chairs? It’s gorgeous.

Being better than the cavern is a very low bar tbf.
Shadowlands maw was better than zaralek cavern.

Dedinitely emeral dream. You can go back to forbidden reach later. Oddly enough, emerald dream is easier and better gear.

Nothing is meant for everyone in a general sense if you look at it.
I’m just being a bit more … critical ? of the content I consume and what I view etc…
The bar isn’t set high as Moritz said.
I am a sucker for druidic lore, and nature zones so it’s not like I don’t like that part… if chickenbros weren’t a thing as dps and rotation felt better, I’d be on my druid in no time in that zone if even for the ambiance.
Hope the RP meeting went well, you rpers are a group I envy from just how much fun you all make for yourselves out of even the smallest of areas, things, etc…
