Forbidden Reach Meta - is Blizzard serious?

100 treasures? 50 scrolls?

I farmed this content for rares and mounts when it came out and had less than 10 of each.

Why is this zone so hostile towards players while other zones have more natural, realistic achievements?

Decided to sit that one out when it was relevant, eh?

Didn’t have a worthwhile achievement back then.

Now that Blizz wants to breathe life into older content they just made it relevant by shoehorning in a ton of nice collectables.

Blizzard- whatever you do- do not listen to players like this. Stop nerfing achievements, those of us that put in the work deserve the rewards and do not enjoy seeing our hard work diminished.

I didn’t say nerf it anywhere in my post - although I’d be open to it for the Taivan achievement; you can keep the title difficulty to preserve your apparently fragile sense of Pride and Accomplishment

I asked what the philosophy here was when other zones are much better. Just because you pride yourself on your ability to fly around an island for days looking for treasures doesn’t mean its a fun activity they should carry forward into the future.

Lol… yikes

Even though I have a little work to do on the treasures and scrolls, it seems less ridiculous than the Zaralek one and the storm chaser meta.

eh, only took me a couple of days and wasnt even that hardcore grinding it. There’s items you can buy that will put the treasures on the map and another that increases the drop rate on scrolls.

The timers on them dont tick down while logged off, i just logged in 10-20 minutes at a time when i was bored or looking for something to do, do a round or two around the island then log off.

Its not like we are getting much else to do till next expac other than a new season for dungeons and raids.

Edit: what i mean to say is: it went a lot quicker than i thought it would.

The Zaralek one got nerfed and is simple.

Storm Chaser one is annoying due to the wait but not gameplay wise.

the treasures should be relatively easy if they hadn’t CRZ everyone together because you can buy those items to show the treasures up. I can’t remember what scrolls are.

Eh, I did it all this week so you can as well.

I don’t doubt my ability to grind out asinine chores for hours on end but I do question whether this type of activity should be encouraged.

There clearly was a design change after this zone to make the achievements much more realistic.

Yea, handynotes makes it trivial.

First time?
This is nothing.
Imagine doing this with no flying. Having to do silly check points and/or parkour. Wait for triggers. Aka WoD pathfinder treasure portion.

Naz is also a classic one I like to bring up when people make complaints about trivial gathering achievs. Way worse, and again, not flying.

No.

Yes, and why do we no longer have such painful design decisions inflicted upon us? Is it because people voiced their displeasure?

Yea, uh huh :joy:
Keep telling yourself that.
See last expansion for all the big achievs it had.
Maw? Each of the 4 zones and their corresponding covs AND parties, abomb factory, bastion trials? Tower ranger?

And to prevent myself from going blue in the face with more examples… do me a favor and google “A world Awoken”. That’ll save us both a lot of time.

Needing to find Ordering of Azeroth in the vaults for Librarian of the Reach is going to be a pain; not worried about any other FR achievement.

As others said, ZC is easy now with Seething Cache gone.
And unless devs step in with a solution, we’ll all be chasing storms for the next 2 mos.

Great example from the expansion they explicitly call out as being bad and learning from how they lost players.

A world Awoken

Why do you think I’m mentioning the Forbidden Reach meta a year after it’s current content?

My point was, my first example was wod. And you said people complained so they changed it, then I reference the same thing but more indepth with SL. A more recent xpac.

So how exactly has times changed?

Then we see the same exact giant meta for DF.

No idea. Mindlessly complaining as people tend to do?
Your complaints really aren’t adding up with your reasoning.

Tl;dr complaining to complain.

No idea. Mindlessly complaining as people tend to do?

Ironic coming from someone trying to one-up my example with examples of other achievements to complain about.

Then don’t do it.

Engagement is the number one thing Blizzard is going to look at because keeping the players playing makes them money.

No.

It’s because people quit and they lost money over it.

Money is the only language that business’s understand.
