I am sure this has been asked but i could’t find a post.
but why does pally divine protection and blessing of protection have forbearance in current version of the game? forbearance was not added till version 1.9.0 of the game. in the current version pallies could pop both shields back to back making them dam hard to kill. it was changed in 1.9.0 I remember this nerf very
so if this is suppose to be classic why is this feature in the current game it ruins what i thought would be return to the old days of super survivable pally to make up for the lack of dps. having the nerf in game without the later buffs just ruins the class.

Shows comments about forbearance dating back to patch 1.9.2. Patch 3.0.8 is when the duration was increased to 3 minutes instead of 1.

in wrath i rerolled my baby pally again on my new account and i could bubble myself and then use lay on hands to full heal myself. without causing forebearance. i was mad as heck when it was changed.
Divine protection and divine shield used to be on separate cool downs too. The order of events: nerfing SotC, coupling DP with DS, to adding forbearance.
When they made changes to paladins and the game, they never bothered to actually rebalance them based on the state of the game instead of in a vacuum. I mean seriously, diminishing returns + the talent revamp made the situationally useful SoJustice practically useless. With the talent, the target was stunned roughly 1/3 - 2/5 of the time. Without the talent, you get a stun with the old proc rate of SoC, 5ppm.
ya i was looking into it futher and your right it was added in patch 1.9.0 had 1 min cd then it 3.0.8 it was lowered to 30 seconds still should not be in current game o well what can ya do
This was added because of a lack of ability to create and balance spells and abilities on the part of Activision’s dev team. Simple as that. Worst band-aid bull ever.
yes if you look i later commented that it was not i was wrong on the patch it was patch 1.9.0 not 3.0.8

This is patch 1.12. 1.9 is earlier.

Technically, forbearance is a blizzard band-aid, not an Activision one as it was added in vanilla and even the time reduction was done prior to the deal with activision.

actually 1.9 is two patches later then 1.12 its common mistake when dealing with decimals the 9 is bigger then the 1 so it is later. 1.9 is almost toward end of vanilla days which i think last patch was 2.12 before burning crusade
yes think of it in terms of money you have 1.12 which is 1 dollar and 12 cents or you can have 1.9 which is 1 dollar and 90 cents

BTW I already knew you were a troll but I wanted to bait you into saying something stupid so I could put the question marks there.

While I agree with the sentiment, Blizzard was not part of Activision at this time.

It’s just basic arithmetic!
You’re either an idiot or a troll. Pick which one you want to be.
If you’re being serious, you’re confusing two completely different systems that don’t belong together.

1.12 was the last major patch of vanilla before the TBC pre-patch and is the version of the game most things in Classic are based on.
