For those wanting regular flying aka pathfinder

No way to know since nobody on the PTR is going to have the new 15 Renown yet.

Yeah. Couldn’t think of the name at that moment. Dealing with a cold and medications

People also want the flightwhisle back too. No idea why that was discontinued.

No worries, hope you’ll get well soon!

Personally not a big fan of renown and since I’ve been only PvPing whole season 1 I’m still on renown 3 on most of the factions, except the Valdrakken one, somewhere around 7 because I played the final part of the story (whereas I couldn’t play the first part of the story because it’s locked behind renown and I have no idea what’s going on except some evil dragons).

I think renown should unlock cosmetics, recipes or actual useful gear. Not main story quests.

I miss them too. All my characters have flight whistle’s sitting in their banks.

PTR is subject to change and blue has come out saying they are still working on a set list of requirements. It could stay the same or be changed.

Same reason why some people prefer slower cars to faster cars. Different strokes for different folks… doesn’t hurt those that like dragon riding when normal flying is introduced into the dragon isles.

I think a lot of us are just not wanting the daily complaint threads from people who “wanted” old-school flying that it’s too slow.

Which I think we all know is coming.

I get their financial reason for reintroducing pathfinder, but I wish they would just stop.

Accessibility. :slightly_smiling_face:

Absolutely. I even got motion sickness from a different type of character movement in another game.

There are also people who have some vision and brain disabilities that cannot compute the movement and speed and controls at the same time.

Because it’s bis

Because MY way is better. Just like the Naaru is WAY BETTER than the dumb sun thing you worship false paladin!

Everyone knows the Naaru are void lords in disguise.

You must be new here. This has been discussed on the forum since DF was released. It’s not just motion sickness, but also visual or mobility impairments.

I don’t think people who have needed regular flying wanted pathfinder.

Great something no one wanted. People want notmal flying. That’s not the issue. I never once thought that normal flying as slow. Actually for me, its the PERFECT speed. I do a lot of things when i play wow. That gives me the option to multitask. And shut my brain off. What we dont want is pathfinding. Allow people to choose both from the word go. You know, like Aion and Perfect World International.

Im likely never going to get it because i don’t do dragon isles. I dont do dragon isles because i don’t have normal flying. How does blizzard suppose that’s going to work? Why is blizzard so adamant about punishing its player base?

I quite after Legion, I came back recently.

If they were going to use the “grind X reputations” timegate again, they should’ve just had Pathfinder enabled from day 1… it would’ve gone over much better/smoother rather than making us wait like 1 year

It’s silly that they’re gating flying that is slower, while allowing hypersonic gliding speed gimmicks from day 1

Because Ion and Co are still butthurt over not being able to remove old flying in WoD and are going to punish us for not letting them have their way, kind of like a spoiled child who doesn’t get their way and has a tantrum until they get their way.

It would have been nice to know what the requirements were, instead of waiting and telling us this late in, I didn’t grind renowns much because I didn’t feel the need to. Would have been nice to know they were going to be required for regular flying, thanks Ion and Co for this spiteful behavior you continue to display.

Given my highest rep is 9 or 10… and the flappy bird game messes with my eyes, it will be some time before I get regular flying.

I still have garrisons to build though!

My druid is sick of having to ride a dragon mount.
