For those new to rated with blizz about next season

Your mmr carries over. Even if you just play for mog and stop at 2100 like me. You might wanna push near end of season to avoid nightmare mmr.

With a little luck you will only have to see it once per expansion, per character.

What exactly is this ā€œnightmare bracketā€ and for what specific reason?

Past a certain point the matchmaking system gets better, is that it? Also I had no idea that the MMR carried over, thought weā€™d have to re-do everything from scratch.

I would say for blitz it seems to be 1800 and under. Also yeah mmr carries over each season save expansion breaks. So even though you start at 0 rating you will be placed in the mmr you are now.

Recall getting 2100 in about 10 games from parking at 2400 in df for solo shuffle.

I dono OP, Once I get ma Moggies I quit. Its not fun being power farmed by ratings sellers, BOTs and Premades. They ran off the player base, and Blizzard wont stop them soooā€¦

Yeah, but Iā€™m curious to what exactly is the issue in this ā€˜cursedā€™ bracket. Iā€™ve seen it being mentioned a couple of times around some posts, but I couldnā€™t tell exactly why.

The Real Money boosters ran off the player base by over farming them with premadesā€¦

They over fished the ocean, no more fish to catch, so please players queue back up lol, put more fish in the sea, the Boosters have bills to pay lol.

From my experience its when you hit a mmr later in the season on a new toon where people just donā€™t know how to play.

Its easier on some classes that are strong at dueling and can solo objs.

Best example I can give is playing eye of the storm and your team is fighting middle with zero bases and unable to even grab the flag.

Ever the Doomsayer, ehā€¦ These things you keep alleging are simply not true. No matter how many Youtubers you reference on this subject, the numbers, and our own experiences, say otherwise.

Iā€™m ready to go gambling!

Dun da dun, aw dang it.

This makes perfect sense! I wonā€™t have to bust my butt to get past 1700, which was really tough. Once you hit 2000 CR and 2400 MMR, wins become much easier.

Iā€™m certainly having the exact opposite effect, Iā€™ve gone from an 80% winrate in the 2-2.2k MMR bracket, to a 50-55% winrate in the 2.3-2.7k bracket.

Nothing more demoralizing than spending 15-25 minutes in queue, narrowly losing a match, and doing it all again. Spending 2-3 times as long in queue as playing just to gain 23-24 rating a win. Playing 1000 points above your CR.
