I liked the older model better around wrath when people chose 1 of 2 zones to start in. that being said when i got off work thursday night 2 hours after the xpac started no lag the room was empty. when the rest of the people start on monday they will see alot less lag and maybe no downtime.
It’s been lag free. Doesn’t feel sharded to oblivion like Shadowlands.
Things are really spaced apart. I haven’t figured out if there really is a main hub yet. It’s more like 10 mini hubs
I’m so glad I didn’t buy EA because I wouldn’t even be able to play
well in the intro Dalaran is on the move my druid is only 73 havent got too far.
no complaints here, has the best initial flow of any expansion since WoD, which btw had the best leveling experience of any expansion so haters get wrekt lol
for alts WOD is still great take the artillery strike in Talador and you can one hit as much as you can pull. combine that with the treasures that give you exp its good.
I’ve been wondering this as well. Maybe this is intentional to reduce lag? No one seems to be congregating anywhere in particular.
if you watched the intro Khadgar teleports Dalaran im only 73 so i can’t say for sure but i think that will be the new hub
Dornogal seems to be the main hub because it has the only Bank and AH that I can find and it’s the only place that has all the profession trainers in one place, but each faction has their own mini hub.
If you’re working on a particular faction renown, you play from their hub so that you have easy access to their quartermaster.
At least, that’s what I’ve gathered so far.
Also, I’ve found that it’s easiest to set your hearthstone to The Weaver’s Lair inn, there’s a portal to Dornogal there, rather than having to fly back up the shaft.
IK one of them was Borean Tundra. What was the other one, again? Probably the one I didn’t pick
EDIT: Husband said it was Howling Fjord, and that Howling Fjord was the better of the two
I take back what i said about Dalaran i watched almost all the cut scenes i must have skipped the whole Dalaran getting destroyed part. I recall cleaning up rubble didn’t think it was a big deal.
I feel like the surface city is the main hub. It has the most things in close proximity that Ive seen thus far. And the highest player density
Not fond of Dornagal - the benches outside the AH are backwards
They have an gear enchant NPC sitting there facing the plaza, but if you sit on the bench yourself you’re facing the pit, with your back to the crowds. No adventurer ever has their back to potential attack !
