Blizzard needs to change.
Double loot drops, half the requirements in crafting, add a WQ vein to the vault for weekly loot.
Maybe you should find a different game that suits you more, instead of trying to change this one into something you like.
Not in the mood for that horse in the race.
In all PvE content? would help the organized groups more than the pugs as organized groups have a higher kill rate on raid bosses, and a lower disband rate in M+.
This one could just be a wash, but you’d need someone who knows more about the inner workings of crafting to see if it’s a benefit or not. I imagine that some crafters wouldn’t like the increased competition that would result.
I feel like you have that, just in the form of the weekly Aiding Valdrakken quest. It’s a do x world content, get a box containing rep, loot, and gold. You even get to open it early if you want to!
Honestly, I loved Horrific Visions as well. I would love to see them or something similar return, with scaling rewards and difficulty for solo to small groups.
Edit: (I didn’t understand the torghast part)
For me, I would love to see world content become part of timewalking, so I could do say WoTLK, for example, but scaled to level 70 when it was on the calendar, with possible small bonuses.
There we go. We finally agree!
A little humanity goes a long way. People are mirrors.
I concur
What are your thoughts about my edit?
I like that too.
And I think that the hole in Blizzard’s three pillars isn’t necessarily that the three pillars don’t work, but there should be a fourth pillar a la horrific visions or something similar for very challenging instanced solo content.
Of course, the reward system and design would have to be carefully thought out, but I do believe Blizzard could do it - they succeeded with M+, after all, when for years, the thought was that there was no way to make dungeons viable as an end game challenging content.
The only time they have come close to this, is mage tower.
Horrific Visions were drastically easier based on your spec. In order for their to be a true “4th pillar”…then it has to be balanced on a per spec basis. Which is an intense workload.
Indeed, that would certainly be an obstacle, I won’t lie.
Its such an intense workload, that its not feasible.
At some point you have to draw the line.
Or! Here’s a thought. Do it anyway and don’t draw the line.
Are you gonna pay the extra workforce they have to hire to do this?
Dev time is finite.
Me specifically? No. Should Blizzard? Yes.
This was literally how Hearthstone was born.
Even if true, it depends on how the gear rewards work. If they capped out like Horrific Visions did, they might allow skilled solo players to collect gear on a weekly basis without breaking all the pillars.
Edit: the point would be to let solo players wet their whistle when it comes to hard content, rather than having it be solo=ONLY easy.
So Blizzard just hire a much larger dev team, so the people that play their group based game, can play a solo adventure?
A whole different game. And here I thought you didn’t like the argument of “go play a different game”.
But the entire argument is that the solo gameplay has to be on par with mythic raiding and m+15 gear rewards.
Yes. And weed out problematic members of the current team too.
Stems from the top. Goes to the bottom.
Also it’s +20 now.
But why would Blizzard do all this to lose so much money?
