I would just wanna see a system where you get gear based on the content you do. If I wanna just do LFR and normal dungeons, I deserve gear that reflects that.
If I wanna get into mythic raiding, I need to put in the effort to get the gear through the previous difficulties in order to do that, and thus when I help clear that content I could get rewarded with the gear.
People also think, doing the content rewards you gear. I have been in raids where a whole night or week goes by and I get no gear drops. So even if you do get to do the content, you are not always going to get a reward.
