Static flying speed without the flying!
This gets rid of the cop-out “but uh they didn’t make the environments with flying in mind!!!” excuses (which ignore things like Goblin Gliders, Darkmoon Cannons, etc.) while providing a much-needed speed boost to get around boring legacy no-fly zones.
“Isn’t that what D.R.I.V.E is?” Kind of, but I don’t want something that’s hellish to control or resource limited.
It’s easy to control, though.
Hover Mode? How’s that going to work? Are they going to open up a Taco Bell or something?
It’s time for another Good Idea, Bad Idea.
Good Idea: Making new content with flying in mind.
Bad Idea: Making content without flying cause you’re stuck in the 2004 version of the game and are creatively bankrupt.
If you’re driving at grandma speeds, sure.
Well that should be very self-explanatory, but your mount would “hover” an inch or so off the ground and could move at flying speeds.
I’m not talking about new content.
You’re asking for hover mode at static flight speed, which is also grandma speed.
I’m in support of this idea - i do wonder if it’s even possible tho.
