Blizz, for the next expansion after Dragonflight can you please offer a choice between a Character Boost and other Character Services comparable in price to the Character Boost with your Preorder tiers?
I have the Character Boost that came with the Dragonflight preorder and I can’t really think of any reason to use it. The characters that I play, and even most of the ones that I don’t, are already at level 60. I’m not going to waste it for a character at lvl 50 to gain 10 levels that I can just earn in a few hour with Threads of Fate. I’m not going to use it on an Envoker, if I ever play one, since it would defeat the purpose of playing a new class.
Basically this thing is just going to sit there until it’s worth more than it is now. If you’re going to add 10 levels each consecutive expansion then that will be 7 expansions from now, 6 if you count Dragonflight.
Would have been cool to have a race/faction change bundle or something.

Yeah I just realized a few days ago that I still had my Shadowlands 50 boost. Boosted a random character. Maybe try a new race/class combo? I never had any undead max level and I’m not a fan of locks so I made an undead warlock and boosted from 1 to 50
i think it would be cool if they gives us the option to choose a character boost or a set of potions that when your character drinks them they get boosted power that last until they reach lvl 70 that way the experience progression doesn’t get affected but the fighting along the way become a little less harder for characters at lvl 60 but with low item lvl.
Being able to pick between a realm xfer a faction change or a boost sounds good to me.
Although to be fair the boost itself is what a 60 dollar value?
I have one of every class on Horde side with only two of those sub-60 but at 50 or higher. The rest are level 60.
I also have one of every class on Alliance side, different server than my Horde characters, and all of those are 50 or higher. Just feels like a waste to use it for 10 or 20 levels when Shadowlands leveling is so easy and I’m sure Dragonlands leveling will be too.
Yeah I would rather have a character service. All my toons are at least level 51 and I just deleted a bunch of level 50 to 60s because I have too many alts.

One of every class… But not one of every spec?
It is $60 which is why they should offer a choice of character services up to that value when buying a pre-order bundle.
Not one of every spec, lets not get crazy now.
If the game was more alt friendly then maybe but right now it’s far easier to just swap specs if that’s what you want to do.
Dang it I’m out of likes again.
Fair enough I could go for that. Essentially the boost for 60 OR the faction change race change w/e bundle that values 60.
I never thought about that. It’s a good idea and I’d like if Blizz offered something like that.

This guy thinks there is going to be an expansion after Dragonflight… They better just try and have an expansion that isn’t a failure first. Dragonflight is make or break expansion for Blizzard and if it fails then it’s the last one.

It would be nice if we could trade it for a race change or something.
Boosted a Mage, 'cause why not, but I don’t really plan on playing him a whole lot.
Lmao. Been hearing that since WoD.

I mean they had the 2 worst expansions to date and lost the majority of their players to other MMOs. Blizz wishes they had the players they had in WoD right now. If they release 3 failed expansions in a row… that will be it.
And this guy thinks there won’t be one after Dragonflight because if Abombshield says Dragonflight is a failure then just pack it up boys.
In all seriousness they said the same thing about Legion, BfA and Shadowlands. Truth is Blizzard is not going to kill this money machine based on back to back “bad” expansions.
I even commented that Shadowlands was make or break for them before it came out and in some ways it has been but to suggest that there isn’t another expansion, or two, not planned out already is just foolishness.
They already did though. That is why Microsoft bought Activision for a discount price because the company is in shamble and hemorrhaging money from the Blizz department. Blizz hasn’t made a good game in 7 years. That’s a long time so it’s just stating the obvious fact that Blizz really needs a win.

Wow I never knew we played with Elon Musk since he thinks 69 billion dollars is chump change.

You’re so completely wrong. Microsoft bought them on the cheap because the value of the company tanked due to the lawsuits and negative investor perception based on those lawsuits.
If you actually looked at the numbers, revenue was up even though MAU numbers were down. That was across the entire Activision/Blizzard portfolio and not just Blizzard games.
In fact, even now, WoW remains extremely profitable and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
Last expansion, prior to SL, people such as yourself were saying “if they release 2 bad expansions in a row… that will be it”.
If DF sucks, you’ll still be here saying “if they release 4 failed expansions in a row… that will be it”
You don’t understand what buying a company at discount price means apparently.
Wrong the lawsuits didn’t help but Blizzard hasn’t put out a great game in almost 7 years. Gaming companies need to make good games. So it was easy to buy Blizz at discount when they have been failing for awhile driving their players into the arms of other MMOs.
