Could we please resolve this bug? You made that channel so we could avoid spam, and now youre putting it in every chat window each time we log in.

It is more than just that… All chat channels are bugged. I use ElvUI and i LIKE how it puts trade/loot on the right side and most everything else (unless I divide it further) on the left. Wow now combines everything in both windows. If I change it will stay until I zone somewhere else… or reload my screen. For me it is game breaking and not something they can ignore. I’ll leave.

Not everything is easy to fix— especially when this isn’t an across the board issue. Only some are experiencing this, not everyone. So it’s needle in a haystack. It’s going to take longer.
If you’re that upset, try using an addon. I use BasicChatMod. It’s small and simple and I don’t see Services chat.
If you want to seethe and not try an addon, then good luck and I hope it’s fixed soon.
I had a good lol when I saw it in the combat log too.
No where is safe.

Make sure it’s not an ELVUI issue, because I haven’t experienced this with my addon. Everything is staying put where it should be. So something is making things work for some and not others.

It isn’t… It does it with no addons and just the base UI. It doesn’t matter the computer, home or work (where I don’t have addons installed). Work is simply installed if I need to check on something quick. I’ve renamed my WTF folder and set up the channels again and it still does it.

So it sounds like there’s two issues going on and both aren’t happening for everyone. Bleh. I hope they can find it and fix it soon.

All sub 70 advertisers need to be banned in my opinion. Way too much spam. Better yet make it so that every advertiser has to be a part of and is on a character for the service they are providing.

It wasn’t just the Services channel that was bugged. I say “was” because it seems to be fixed for me, but I don’t know how nor why…
Mine was fixed last night. Sorry to hear it’s still going on.

If you type /leave <trade/services/etc> it stays that way.

You have to leave or delete the channel rather than just unchecking it. And it must be done for each chat tab you have.

Yeah when I first noticed it there were people going “it isn’t happening to me, so you’re wrong”… which happens. Unfortunately it is going to make it harder for them to find it. But realistically this is seriously game breaking for me.
Also I haven’t logged into the game this week for more than my AH sales. So they could have fixed it tuesday for me… who knows. I’ll find out Friday.

I’m on the edge. I report under max level advertisers because they can’t participate in the run and that is a requirement. But If they restrict /5 to max level will under 70 start spamming /2 again? It has been nice to be able to turn that on once again and not be inundated with ad spam.

Ok so I logged in this evening for a bit before I have to start my evening running for family etc… Looks like what I was experiencing is fixed. I had all my addons enabled and it kept the changes between a reload, a log off, a disable of addons and refresh etc.
