Is Daggers only best for Vael?
I can’t remember much.
Levelling is mainly swords due to position requirement.
Raiding most go daggers. Keeping a pair of swords for open world content.

Play what you want. You can go daggers or swords but most guilds wont let you swap once you’ve chosen because so many people need the swords and daggers.

Swords is fine as long as you use it with snd.
Daggers are fine too, but they are just 2 different playstyles. I like swords because it’s an upfront playstyle - no need to stealth into a fight or worry about positioning if you are ambushing/backstabbing.

The real answer is: Whatever you win in the raid.
Swords is bis for every rogue no matter the race, but, sword drops can be few and far in between. 1 in molten core, 1 from ony, 2 in bwl (if you ever see a cts) 1 in aq40, 3 in naxx (2 are off the last boss in the game).
On the other hand, getting ACL gloves and a perd blade will carry you pretty dang far at end game
