yeah that’s fair. though one thing i find kinda funny is how the set is so iconic to blood elf iconography, right down to the Phoenix imagery which is very much a blood elf specific thing, so to me feels a little strange how it’s class locked rather than race locked.
it reminds me of a meme i saw once for playable Night Elf Paladins running around im the judgement set with the Ashbringer, but the underlying point of scruntany was that the paladin aesthetic had virtually nothing in the way of Elune imagery or something like that cuz it was so human focused

Yeah at different times, especially in BFA, they gave us mogs for other races, but classes where it even makes sense to share is off limits. I still cannot mog one-handers over two-handers. Even though that wouldn’t be a stretch at all for Warrior, the master of weapons (supposedly).

Unless you’re Thrall, then you can definitely use crossbows.
We use to be able to use bows, and glaives. That was a change Blizz made, sadly.

In a better world these shoulder and head pieces would have been options for their heritage armor. I do love that set, and I think basing it on the spellbreakers from WC3 works for a lot of classes. But it would be cool for it to have some more spellcaster-centric options.
I’m just super thankful that they’ve at least made this mage recolour an exact match for the heritage set. It would have been beyond aggravating if the red or green were a slightly different shade.

At the very least can we get our verdant sphere glyph back and visually update it?
Verdant spheres are basically the lore analogue for our soul shard mechanic.
Models are generally modeled on human males first, that is why they usually display armor on human males.
Which is why sets for Worgens, Trolls and Kul’tiran have bugged out or clipped. They need to stop doing that.

It’s just because the engine is kinda old and the big and chunky artstyle lends itself to these problems. There is clipping even on human male models on sets designed for them specifically.
Yeah but the kind of problems like Worgen’s pants being on the ground instead of on them shouldn’t happen. There’s gotta be a way to adjust to that. The Troll mask was a simple one, it shouldn’t be that long and narrow.
The name is blood mage, not blood warlock. We have also mage exclusive class sets named like that, such as the ICC one. Kael’thas was a mage. Lore is more complex than gameplay.
WC3 blood mages had Flamestrike as a spell, they could summon phoenixes (elementals).
Warlock because “green fire” is such a shallow way of looking at it. It’s a mage set.
As a warlock main, the set is gorgeously beautiful, and even I understand that it belongs to mages (and in my opinion it should be exclusively to BE mages).

Yeah, unfortunately the blue one (With blue orbs) still has a green glow, which looks weird.
Does it? I never noticed. I mustn’t have used it much. But i remember when people were discussing these during data mining, people noted that the purple version had the green glow as well. But then later it changed to be purple. Weird if blue was not also correct.
Ah nice. There we go. Also i never realised it matched so well with the 7th legion set! That’s awesome!

With some bits at least. I think it will have to be no chest piece because of the stupid collar on that thing. So no void wings. The void elf tabard instead though. I guess with the orbs the lack of wings wont be as bad.
