Night Elf has ShadowMeld While Void Elf Has Teleport and Preternal Calm? When I have played Lock before we were usually the primary focus, so i would think Void Elf would Fit Lock a little better. I do see that more players pick Night Elf though.
Both work but with the amount of mobility buttons melee have now, I think it makes Void Rift more under valued than before. Aside from Paladin, there isn’t any melee we can 1 to 1 cooldown trade to outdo a mobility kite this patch.
I personally like Void Elf. The no push-back racial has more use cases than a 2 minute meld.
And the portal thing helps me kite against melee cleaves after they use all of their gap closers or to reposition my portals.
For meld to work, you need super fast reaction times to meld stormbolts, etc. It’s just inconsistent unless you’re a pro player when compared to void elf’s passive benefits.
I started using void elf more this season as melee became more meta, and i have loved it personally.
