For people who don't play rm

isn’t it amazing watching them play? they can go anything. there’s no game where one person tried something surprising and the other people shot them down because there’s an obvious, rigid strat for the matchup and deviating from it makes you a dummy. you can just do whatever you want and if you play well as a team something that advances your win condition can happen every dr set.

i wish more comps felt like that. playing warrior comps that are undeniably op as hell this season, it still gets on my nerves that targeting the enemy hpal of a double caster is almost never a good idea.

Yea pruned doesn’t just mean “i lost abilities too”

It means there are just blatant holes in your spec’s capacity to be impactful because you don’t have key abilities

They will make specs have to talent Stormbolt, remove grounding/tremor for an expansion but wouldn’t ever dare touch kidney or poly

Na bro rogue mage is bad and any rogue mage player will tell you that.

the rules that always remain for some specs in this game really don’t make sense to me, in either endgame format. it seems like they’re still deciding what those rules are in m+, given how much that rep changed from legion to now, but for pvp rogue mage lock warrior and windwalker seem to have the fewest outright horrible seasons, even though they’ve melted ww down into nothing to make it the energybar warrior powerhouse it’s been for 3.5/4 seasons of bfa. and then in raid, dps of rogue mage lock warrior are never bad, brewmaster tanks are never bad, and holy pallies don’t seem to ever be bad(i’m less sure of that one).

is this on purpose? does blizzard balance in accordance with a secret menu that disallows these select few specs from ever sucking at these respective things? is it pure luck that this has happened to these specs some almost 30 tiers and more than 30 seasons in a row?

i wouldn’t be toooo sure of this tbh. maybe poly. but mages losing deep was a serious blow very much like rogues losing gouge or garrote, and i’d say those resemble losing grounding/tremor/cyclone as we temporarily did.

please give back fist stun it’s all i want for christmas

i’m not even trying to talk about whether the comp is op, i’m just green with envy over how much freedom it looks like its players have to play the game however they want

expanding on this whole shower thought

I personally always thought it was a garb notion when folks say something like “ele is a dampening spec”

R/M has options to pull multiple cds out the gates, or go the attrition route, or anything in between. Options in even trinkets that they alone will abuse more than any other comp.

Not all but more comps should be as dynamic if this was a better designed game

Well said but their kits seemingly always have a fallback or fail safe and continue to outpace other specs.

Deep gone but here are some shimmer blessings.

And I don’t want to live in a world where gouge and subterfuge are hand in hand
