an idea to try. if and when it stop displaying the battle net id tag thing and shows either your retail/classic characters only. I found a soultion thatt might work.
check to see if retail/classic characters are present.
log out of forums completely.
log into whichever one is NOT on the list. retail/classic. log into a character on that list.
wait 30 seconds-1minute.
log back out of the client completely.
log back into forums.
corresponding retail/classic characters should be back.
worked for me on firefox.
