For Devs Paladin Phase 4

Hi Sod Devs. I did some testing on ptr and I have hours and hours of pally play prot/ret/holy i do all specs.

this is the main issue I’ve seen in ptr for phase 4 PTR.

-I think nerfing hammer of righteous and art of war change makes prot pally feel really really bad and boring and super weak and I personally probably will never sword and board ever again because of this change.

-Shield of Righteous Feels terrible. to weak and making holy shield our main source of damage feels terrible.
this is classic tanks dont want mitigation damage they want to do damage kill bosses have fun. mitigation damage is what so ever not fun at all and feels bad. alot of us pallies prob won’t even look to even try swoard n board spec because it is beyond terrible and boring in p4 now.

-2 hand tanking. maybe we should shift some support to 2 handed tanking paladins for the ones that enjoy the lore of having a huge 2 handed weapon on their paladin being frontline of crusading the raid bosses. Lets be real the sword and board tanking is super lame, but i like that it is a option variety is good for sod, we need more variety in sod. we need a holy knight vibe a big 2 hander tank to make it unique in sod. hmmm sure works in other versions with death knight.

-Art of war change overall is the worst you did to paladin runes changes. this is a terrible change overall. you totally ripped away a unique interactive playstyle from sod to tend to the seal twist fans. the seal twisting vibe is fun…in reality boring as f. but we have been using art of war for months now and taking it doing what you did to it just feels scummy and im sure there are alot of paladins that really enjoyed the playstyle and ripping it away seems like you want to remove their interest out of the game which probably end to them leaving game that is not what we need.

  • last divine protection reducing 50% damage should be baseline because no one ever uses the spell anyways it is not in a rune slot and will never be used for the reason people don’t lose damage for mitigation. its classic… you want to make other tanks more viablo with aoe and make our aoe damage the lowest compare to other tanks atleast give us a aoe tuant and baseline wall spell, but thats just wishful thinking.

-Last subject on world buffs. can alliance get a version of warchief buff just to make it less annoying to have to aquire. lets be honest we are gonna get it either way. would just be less annoying to have to go through all the work and getting mind controlled from another faction to even get the world buff.

FYI, they barely read the forums as is but they definitely don’t read these ones. You wanna post this in the SOD PTR section if you want any chance of it being heard.

noted just trying to reach out to the devs not the player base on this. thanks for your input but it isn’t really needed.

im horde and i agree with 1 of your points at least.

make an alliance version of warchiefs blessing thats the same exact stats and everything.

i dont care if you even have it so youre killing rend for it to turn in either.

just give them the same thing so i dont have to listen to them whine about it.

Oh I understand, which is why i’m telling you the devs themselves said to post it on the PTR section. They don’t read sod general.

They already added a version for alliance. Same buff as warchiefs blessing. I forget the name.
