What time do you host your anti-fun wow meetings? As a paying customer, I think it is important for you to get feedback, which I’m sure you see tons of. Forgive my sarcasm littered through out this.
I am almost positive that you guys have a meeting where the main topic and point of this meeting is to see what you can take away from customers or implement in the game to make things not fun.
-
Pathfinder and flight path locations that make no sense.
-
allied races that are worthless to anyone new. This does not promote playing in anyway shape or form. It just gives the long time players a little extra.
-
the fact that this was suppose to act as “the 4th war” when we should have got Warcraft 4 instead and they should have just called this xpac Shadowlands. I would almost fire the head guy of wow for that. That is just horrible and pathetic on multiple levels. Why not give your players and fan base both or do them a better service and make a better game and not try and pass it off as the “4th war” If that was the 4th war, you Horde just got owned. Welcome to the Alliance as allied cow races ect.
-Essences and why they are not account wide, did you ever think that it makes leveling an alt that much harder and any major time sink that is not account wide, just takes away and not adds. Imagine if pathfinder was only per character and not account wide.
- the decision to add in time-gated content like that was a good thing. See here is when it bites you in the butt, when you are releasing new content and players are trying to get through older content, then it just ruins it. So right now I have an alt that just made it to Nazjatar. But in order to get the 2nd lvl essence…he has to do 3000 points of ally combat exp. And you only give 300 per day. So what is that 10 days? Stuff like that, who’s idea was that or what teams idea was that??? Tell them that their pay checks are time gated, oh wait you thought you were getting everything done and paid Friday, yea right just a few more days to go…
-constant redoing of specs for PvE and PvP. one xpac, Monks or other classes are strong healing wise, next xpac they get 0 love or attention for 2 years. And they seem to make a new flavor of the year or two with certain classes. This xpac has been Deathknights, Warlocks, Mages, Monks for tanks (only) and for healers Pallys and Priests. That doesn’t mean other classes won’t preform well, but these ones seem to have an advantage for raid and dungeon content. And some for pvp.
- And pvp never gets any attention, come on billion dollar company…
BUT not fixing anything that needs fixed. For 2 years DK and other class balance in PvP in BFA has been way out of wack and has not got any attention. Also why do you even have guards in the game, they are worthless. good job. When BFA was coming out, you hyped up war-mode…and that has gotten 0 attention to fix or address anything.
-res timer in war-mode. Do you think that a player is not competent enough to wait to get his body? Or is this outdated mechanic is still around to punish people.
- bare minimal effort into content. It looks great at times, the new zones. Cut scenes are just laughable, makes me think we are still in 2004. But each xpac, you can bet on lasting 2 years, with barely 5 raids, and barley any pvp content. And the bare minimum effort into gear and the way it looks. Hey is that a Demon Hunter, a Monk, a Druid or a Rogue…the world will never know.
-Graveyard locations - these are placed horribly and even have no relation to towns or bases close by. The guy that designed these locations, please make him run back to his body every morning he comes into work.
- two design teams that are on different pages. So questing through the zones with multiple chars, you realize that the team the designs the landscapes and zones and the team that does the quests are different and might not communicate with each other that much. No matter if you are horde or alliance questing, you always come across these areas that just do not get used. They spend this time making them look great, with detail, buildings and ruins to enter and so much landscape that is just not used. It like after it’s done, the quest team just comes in and plops down NPCs and you can pretty much tell that from a few zones and I am not sure if that is good and think it could take away from the game experience. Nazjatar being very evident. Also can we make bases look better please and more like a war base from the warcraft strategy games.
Do not be bitter that these ideas are expressed and even to the forum trolls. You guys really need to take stuff like this into account, why this game does not do better. This is a billion dollar company and need to hold them to a higher standard, you think they can’t afford it??? and still have more money left and make more money than most of us will ever see in our entire lives. I think there are some great staff at Blizzard but something has drowned out or has made effort into this game very minimal. Some parts shine, other parts are just turds.
Bad ideas - like benthic gear… not addressing pathfinder in a better way where players get what they want but you still can have it your way too, the constant level squishes, gear squishes and that makes any old content or gear just worthless and makes them just for alts only. You have a giant world that doesn’t get used because of this. That’s like having a very nice car you never drive and leave it sit.
Ideas or suggestions;
More quests, items and rewards. More content, no time gated content. That just means you made very little content and are trying to drag it out over time. Lets make vendor items and rewards better. For PvE and PVP. Better raid/dungeon sets and tmogs. No more crap gear like benthic, which just made people mad that a lvl 420 was out dpsing their lvl 455 item.
Dedicated pvp team to update and come out with new content. We realize things are never going to be perfect, but say you have a Deathknight that can tank an entire village of guards, kill a person and run away without even losing life, needs to be fixed and having a team like this could address stuff every quarter not every 2 years.
Adding more content, like battlegrounds and raids. I think you guys are doing better and well with dungeons. There is a good amount to choose from and I think releasing one every so often keeps it fresh.
Using all this content you have built. Ever think about going back and redo-ing the graphics for all the zones?? Better trees, landscapes, cooler designs. Then think of ways that they can get used. New quests, new mounts, new rewards. Destroy or change some of them, learn from Cata what worked and what didn’t. There is still some parts on the maps that are not used and that you can not see. Make the goblins take over part of a continent or 1000 other ideas that you or players have. Still add in new content, new raids, new dungeons, but find a way to use this large worlds you have created. Turn some of them into battle grounds, use a garrison in a large zone, make players rebuild that zone or base, learn from previous xpacs and put in some great content.
Add in built in UI’s that everyone uses. And make them actually good so they do not resort to using 3rd party.
I think whomever is leading wow now, needs to step it up.
Thank you.
