For Classic+, I would love to see more low-to-mid level content (namely dungeons)

For me personally, dungeons are my favorite part of WoW. Questing has never been my thing – even in OG vanilla, I remember hating how dull they felt. Time has not improved my opinion on questing, as most of my time playing is at night, when I’m already tired, and questing puts me to right to sleep.

Dungeons, on the other hand, I can run all day (if I can find groups). It’s just way more exciting, and I love when you get in with a more social group. For my part, what might spice them up a bit more would be adding a small amount of randomness to certain 5mans, like “rare silver-elite bosses sometimes” or “sometimes the pats spawn or move in different areas”, or even slightly different makeup for packs. Just things that force your group to “bob-and-weave” a little bit each time, where it’s not a super rigid, perfectly-optimized run every time.

I might also consider something to discourage “boosting”, like either cutting xp for having a high-level in the group, or maybe having it cut drop-chances? I like the second idea, because it would be cool for each dungeon to have a cool little cosmetic to unlock (like a pet, or maybe a tabard), or an ultra-rare epic item (sort of like Runeblade of Baron Rivendare or Ironfoe), but having a more generous drop chance for running dungeons at their intended level, instead of boosting?

Anyways, just a thought! I’d love to just have some new experiences for leveling up, and especially to fill in the gaps between around lvl 40 to about 55, where your options always felt super limited. Maybe Demon Fall Canyon could be brought down to a bit lower level, for example? Maybe a dungeon could fit onto those islands south of Undercity, or maybe that INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING TO LOOK AT “unexplored” spot in Wetlands, just north of Dun Algaz, seemingly up on top of the mountain (or heck, even the air-field near Ironforge).

Plus, it would be fun to have more content to fill out the whole journey, not just stuff being added at the very end at max-level.

Again, I’m totally being selfish with the suggestion as I just don’t want to have to quest the whole way to 60+ again, but I feel like others would still get something out of seeing some new lower-level content as well!

I think the level-gating they did in SoD was great. It really made each level cap feel unique, and encouraged us to explore some of the quests that we may never have seen before, or again, otherwise! Having to get a party together to overcome some pretty difficult quests for BiS green items at level 25 or 40 was indeed fun.

I’d really like to see them do almost a mini expansion style with level caps, but using natural twink level caps, 19, 29, etc. If level 19 was a mini-expansion, they could offer dungeons or raids at that level, and rather than pump item-level, there could be some unique properties on those sets that work within the instances, or offer some bonuses that are particularly relevant to mobs/bosses/zones within that content. so as not to create too much ilvl bloat carrying into the next phases.

I also really liked that with lower level caps, crafted items had much different meaning. All that low level junk suddenly became very worthwhile, and sometimes even BiS. They did add some BiS items to crafting as well in SoD.

Anyway, cool ideas, thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I’m looking forward to seeing whatever the team comes up with for upcoming seasons!

i think classic+ should be a complete remake.

id like to see all of what you mentioned with like new dungeons and stuff, but id also like to see (and i know this will never happen just because of the magnitude of this request) all the existing zones and quests reworked, existing dungeons getting updates to “modernize” them, ie very long dungeons broken up into wings similar to scarlet monastery, but also new boss mechanics etc. id also like to see some real balancing efforts between classes and making each tree more viable, but it would be ok to follow a formula of each class having its natural counter and one talent tree being more utility focused, but otherwise the classes should be pretty equal in terms of scaling.

new stories could be told, new lore could be created, it could basically be a whole new game using the existing framework but building off it as a more modern mmo.

also i think classic+ should have end game phasing similar to sod, where we were level capped, and each level cap offered its own “end game” content.

Wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for this dev team to release anything resembling new content let alone decent content.

They showed us with SoD just how inept and useless they were as a creative collective.

Took them 2 years to release a new RAID…
