So, I really don’t like Halo, it’s kind of a boring button to push, where Divine Star is more fun since I have to aim it and it has less than half the CD.
Archon only interacts with Halo in its current state, but what if it interacted with Divine Star too? How would we do that, you ask? You could bring back Cascade!
Make it so that when you hit allies with Divine Star, you cause them to shoot out a couple bolts as if you hit them with Cascade (these will not split further), then occasionally your Divine Star just straight up turns into Cascade, allowing you to cast it once.
This is not intended to replace the tree, it’s just allowing you to run Divine Star if you like it more than Halo. Halo can still be used as an option for this hero tree.
So:
First tier:
- Hitting an ally with Divine Star spawns 2 bolts of Cascade that will not split, targeting the nearest most injured allies. (Up to some max number of bolts)
Second tier:
- Left
- Skip
- Middle
- Allies healed by Cascade bolts get healing increase
- Right
- Hitting 3 allies with Divine Star grants Surge of Light
Third tier:
- Left
- Instead of Halo slowing, Divine Star does.
- Middle & Right
- Skipped, not relevant
Fourth Tier:
-
Left
- Healing increase to Divine Star & Cascade
or - Hitting an ally with Divine Star extends Apotheosis and etc
- Healing increase to Divine Star & Cascade
-
Middle and Right skipped, not relevant
Last tier:
- Every third cast of Divine Star is replaced with Cascade
(This is written from a Holy Priest perspective, do something similar for Shadow, but for damaging enemies with Divine Star / Cascade)
